I just changed my 2 yr old starter my 2001 e250.....upon checking it ..the problem was the solenoid starter contacts ..the starter it self was like new...you can order the solenoid separate ...which says me ...they are the issue ..put new solenoid in ..works perfect.....have standby starter now ..cheers
