However, McDisney-Steam has officially announced Half-Life Alyx 32 as a PS Holodeck exclusive, so all the Richie Rich-types with their in-built Holodecks and imported glooboid caniform meat from the Alpha Centauri system can enjoy that. Meanwhile the little guys have to just hope for an assignment on a Colony Mission Starship to even have a chance at experiencing a millionth of their luxuries.

@@Hithere-uz6wd From what I've seen, a disheveled hovel that looks like it was bombed, filled with trash, infested by badgers, then abandoned for 20 years yet somehow having 30 years of dust built up, then crammed into a depressing grey box containing 26 other crime scenes, damage, doors that don't work, windows you can't see through, and stairwells that put well stocked liquor stores to shame. Overall though a decent place to visit with friends, great people.

This shit isn't silent hill, but it has a unique concept ("What if the horror monster was tied to a home-automation system?") and it has a coherent aesthetic, if maybe a bit simple. I don't see any reason to focus on the negatives, it's the guy's first game. I think with time he'll probably continue to improve.

I think Im with vinny with the whole getting scared and getting into the game. your suppose to be scared. SO many times id work at a place during halloween and seeing dudes put up the tough guy act. why? it makes you look like your no fun. get into the spirit of it and have a laugh when you get spooked. When it comes to actual IRL scary shit, then sure do the tough guy act cuz in legitimate situations it can be benefitcial. Ive been slowly realizing alot of this the older i get. And to be fully honest, with the way vinny goes nonchalant until the spook hits, it gets me too. You get lulled into a sense of comort then wham hit like a truck but i laugh afterwards.

Yeah; while I do think the specific wobbly PSX effect is overused, generally low res/retro is a better choice for these small horror projects than the alternative. There's plenty of indie horror projects that use Unreal level graphics and they usually fall flat on the visuals because without a dedicated art team/direction to really sell it, monsters/enemies end up looking like silicone costumes and just silly.
