It's projection too. Car commercials don't treat cars like people, they treat cars like a multi thousand dollar asset. Him saying that they treat cars like people and finding that laughable is him telling us that he considers human life not worth thousands of dollars and pretending otherwise is pure absurdity.

in one of his really old videos "quite possibly the dumbest military game ever" he laughs at the cars because they just drive towards him, crashing into walls like rabid animals, and not like a person (y'know with with self preservation instincts) is driving them, which I gotta admit is pretty hilarious

I know this is probably a low bar to clear but I do really appreciate how much Jerma emphasizes the work the artists put in for his game/the commercial. In my minimal experience doing commission work for KZbinrs/Streamers, there’s definitely a wariness that comes from working for those communities as work may often go uncredited or unpaid (exposure doesn’t pay the bills after all). And even with studios the work of the individual may get lost in the larger group. So seeing every person from storyboard work to director credited really makes me happy. I really appreciate how much he respects the work of the artists

Im suddenly realizing that 2020 ads arent gonna be entertaining to future generations. Theres not gonna be anything fun with them when we look back at them. No cool music, no dancing, just straight ads with mainly make up, cars, and some occasional pizza ads. Theres no fun in our current ads and i wish people did more. We constantly get angry at unskippable ads and so did people in the 1980s. Only difference is they can remember the ads fondly or get up and grab stuff during them. Edit: didnt realize how long my comment was. Didnt mean to leave a paragraph in your comment section
@JacobKinsley
@JacobKinsley Жыл бұрын
@@frostyelwood9898the new generation of ads is gonna be ai generated visuals and either a generic fruityloops music tracks or an Ed sheeran song with a chatgpt generated script spoken by the companies (ai generated) mascot, and the aesthetic will be abstract black-and-white diagonal lines where the brand mascots do rap battles where they pretend they're enemies but in reality no one really loses. They'll do this in an attempt to get viral and at the end of the rap battle the 'winner' (let's say Wendy's) will have a short snappy clip of someone revealing a really fancy, obviously not real collection of steaming hot delivery food. The message of the ad won't even be about how good the food is, it'll be about how it stores well in the bag and they're doing a free delivery promotion if you install their app today. They'd give you little clips on the app where you have to go to a virtual arcade to play cheap -flash- html5 games and get deals on certain menu items, but the games are rigged to just be a game of chance where you get a really good offer if it's almost your usual eating time and you're nearby to a location. There'll also be a feature where it'll use your most recent browsing history to determine when you're at peak hungriness, autoplaying a domino's ad when you watch jerma crunch on a doctor Oetker pizza. They'll also use ai to make tailored ads where the ai mascots will say your full first, middle and last name and rap about how your personal interests and hobbies are so cool and awesome that you'd only choose that company's products. It will be played off as "haha how quirky, everyone's is unique! Isn't that just awesome?" anyone who disables these features will instead be given ads about their friends and family instead, and if no information about you can be found, the whole page locks up and has to be refreshed. Short clips of what you've been doing on your phone will play back, including one where it shows the porn you were looking at, censored, and the mascot will be like "huh?! Well, I'll pretend I didn't see that, haha!"

Ear wax removal is such an 80s product, the idea that ear wax is some sort of buildup of impurity that up until now humans as a society haven't found a special way to remove it, and removing it is supposed to improve your body somehow

to be fair sometimes i used to get so much wax in my ears I couldn’t hear, and had to flush/suck it out with a plastic syringe

jerma being freaked out by a sink in the bedroom would lose his shit if he saw the bedroom i stay in at my parent’s house. Sink right there steps away from the bed. It’s actually pretty convenient ngl.

Dorm room setup… nah, I had a relative who converted a secondary upstairs kitchen (???) into a bedroom but didn’t bother to take out the sink, cabinets, etc. No refrigerator-just a gap. The bathroom was equally cursed, but I can’t remember what was wrong with it because it’s been so long-I think there might’ve been stairs to the bathroom door? I recently saw a kitchen set-up online with a washer on top… and a dishwasher on the bottom. No idea where the dryer was. I hate that for some reason.

the slip and slide i had growing up had like a thing full of air at the end to stop ppl from injuries. One time my friend went so fast on the slip and slide that the thing on the end launched him into the plants like it was a ramp.

Funny to think that back in the 80’s & 90’s people couldn’t stand watching commercials. Now we’re watching them back to back with a 40 year old man. The future is here.
