Lethal League is one of my favorite fighting games and no one talks about it. So start talking about it. Also thanks to Bipmap for helping me get the footage for this.

Honestly I don't care about additional gamemodes. I play this game competitively and the simple 1v1 gameplay with default settings is hands down entertaining enough. Even after 900 hours.

I agree with the whole 'wanting to get into fighting games but being overwhelmed' especially since they all play differently from eachother. I'm not too bad at Tekken 7 but watching the Zaibatsu do Friday Night Fisticuffs and listening to the podcast did get me into spectating fighting games and appreciating them more closely.

Tbh I actually really liked the character models in the original, I felt like they fit and imo they were rough while still being aesthetically pleasing at the same time. It's hard to explain, but I'm suprised people think that they're "ugly". Anyway, hyped as shit for Lethal League Blaze. I rarely played Lethal League online (it felt more fun with friends) but that might change. Keep up the good concent my man, recently subscribed to ya 👍

I discoverd lethal league a while ago like a couple of years ago, but never played it. Fanatical (a bundle website) was giving away free steam keys so i picked one up and started playing it and i love it. Im really bad at the game but i still love it. The playerbase is dead but i can still practice for lethal league Blaze!

Until ive watched your video i wasnt even aware that there was a sequel to LL in dev. I've sworn to love this game but i've forgotten it due to abscence of people to play with. You're a great thanks for making me aware. You just changed a person's day a brighter one. Youve done gr8 on introducing Lethal League, its mechanics, and what's with it currently. This video needs more recognition and views. I'm gonna share on my socials cus this is lit. This game NEEDS to be seen. Shove it right up their alley. Recently I got word here about Lethal Leauge Blaze a while ago and when the og game came out on the Xbone One I told all my friends and I got them into it, when I told them about Blaze, they were hype. you missed out on a few mechanics for switch his special can also be enabled by pressing jump when doing a downsmash in mid-air while the ball is above you (he is upside down while hitting it). his up-angle is also the only non-special that hits the ball behind you, enabling some fiendish mixups out of bunts with stuff like near-instantaneous switchflips

I got this game for free (thanks Fanatical), I didn't know there was a sequel coming, yeah! The original feelt like a prototype, so happy is getting a proper sequel, with new characters, went to steam and put it on my wishlist. Thanks for the heads up, I agree with everything you said.

Super Smash Flash 2's bonus mode, Sandbag Soccer shares some concepts to Lethal League. Two people can play soccer using Sandbag. Sandbag has a damage interface so the more damage he takes the faster he flies. If no one scores a goal, eventually matches can get very chaotic. You can also damage and fight each other to detract attention away from Sandbag, the "ball".

I just love the simplicity of Lethal League 1 (more mechanics doesn't always mean better & I like the sprites more than the 3D models) but I agree it was shallow on content & tons of fun. & YES PLEASE WE NEED A SWITCH PORT THAT CONSOLE WOULD LOVE THIS.

How to learn how to play fighting games:-Acquire Third Strike-Play Ryu. Do not play any other character. Ryu is okay at everything but isn't the best at anything. To win with Ryu you will have to learn a wide variety of skills and react to your opponents' play, and you will. After you beat the final boss you'll have an idea of what you're good at and what you aren't, and you can start learning a character who fits your playstyle. The attitude some people seem to have that you have to learn all this stuff (frame data, combos, matchups) to get to the fun part of a fighting game is ridiculous. Getting better IS the fun part. It's so satisfying to play a game for an hour and shut off the console stronger than when I started. When I play fighting games, every second I feel like I'm in the training montage from Rocky. And there's no better feeling in video games than reaching the top of the staircase through your own intelligence and intuition and improvisation and sheer fucking grit.

I find it hard to believe that you actually play fighting games. directional input based games are just as complicated as motion input based games, it's just different. also, lethal league is way simpler than every game you mentioned in the first part of the game.

bratkartoffeln123456 Here's the thing I was getting at though. Games like smash and Lethal League are inherently easy to pick up and play no matter who you are. You can easily play as a newbie, but then there is all this crazy tech n shit that people who want a more complex game will get. Traditional fighters are the opposite. I feel like when I am playing them I'm missing out on most of the game because to even do a simple combo I need to memorize much more than I do for a game like smash. I'm not saying one is inherently better than the other, but it's what I prefer. And personally I prefer easy to pick up and play, but tough to master.
