I have never been a cake person...except for Lemon Pound Cake. My Aunt Betty made one almost every week, it seemed like, but that was 35-40 years ago.🤷🏼♀️ She would cut big slices for me and my little brother, slowly wrap a paper towel around them, and hand them to us as if they were The Hope Diamond. I thought she was a kitchen magician, and you are very much like her. Thank you for making my mouth water again.♥️

Coco Wahlgrin. Some of us are here to spend time enjoying this sweet lady’s cooking channel. No one has said anything racist. No one has mentioned the President. The only racists I’ve seen lately are the ones in the street rioting burning businesses . And most of them are paid whites. God bless our nurses and law enforcement officers. Go troll somewhere else.

The little guy sat by the oven about 3 feet away sitting on the kitchen floor with his dinosaurs watching it bake. The cake did take 70 minutes to cook all the way through and get golden brown (we like it very golden). This one really is a keeper, thank you so much for the video! Stay safe and healthy, God Bless you and Mr. Brown.

You have the prettiest smile. I don't like sweets because my mother never allowed them in the house when I was growing up so I never acquired a taste for them. And I never had a birthday cake or ice cream, ever. Yes I know that's weird, but that was my childhood. But I do love lemon baked goods maybe because the tartness of the lemon offsets the sweetness? Well, it makes sense to me, lol. That cake does look divine. On another note, as fate would have it, I married a sugar addict. My husband would finish that whole cake, jar of strawberries and jar of whipped creme in about a minute and a half. That would be his idea of the best dinner on the planet!

Over the last 10 yrs or so, I have been buying vintage pans, pots, and kitchenware, to use in my kitchen. They seem to hold up better and cook things better. My favorites are, a tube pan just like that, my 1950's, copper bottomed, drip, coffee pot, and my 70's Ekco, wooden handled, spatulas/egg-turners. Lemon pound cake is my husbands favorite. I use apricot nectar in mine. The cake is just mildly lemon, but the glaze that I use is tart/sweet and lemony. He chooses it over all other cakes. I will try this one, he may change his mind. It looks delicious.
