Brushing a bit of plastic weld along the cut edge of the CD case plastic will make it transparent again. Before spraying the Tamiya smoke of course. Thanks for another enjoyable video!

Out of curiosity: Why did you choose a lego antenna for reinforcement and not a paperclip?

I always feel I get a better glue bond with the Lego, and it also still has a bit of flex in it. So less likely to break it again.

Loved this one! I really enjoy seeing these series projects come together part by part. The WHALE is just a great project because there are so many little things missing or broken off with this one. I also enjoyed seeing you fix Cutter's broken pelvis along the way. The paint match was actually pretty good! The tinting on the window glass was decent as well.

Excellent repair. Maybe for the front glass you should see wich form has exactly the piece you want to replace, as it has a different one than the one youre making. Maybe that should help. Great video

You can dip clear parts in a tinted clear holding onto the part with tweezers (like Klear there are several replacements on the market these days) and dab the edge on kitchen towel to wick off the excess, leave under a container overnight you get a nicer result ! I've done this with tamiya smoke but the acrylic pot version not the 'hot' spray. Also can do multiple dips to get darker

Great repair, Dave , well done. Maybe you could apply some Future/Pledge over the glass part, that will make it even better looking and should protect it against going dull and light scratches. Also, UV glue does wonders, it's easy to use and seams are almost spotless after use.

Can I ask a serious question toy poli . Following on from your video. What will happen when i die ? Did you not want kids or couldn't? I have started collecting mostly lego and other stuff from my childhood but have 2 young kids and it's hard to collect and not have them try and play with what I buy . I love sharing with them but dont want them to wreck any of my projects!! My kids are most important things in my life but get so much joy seeing all these old toys !! I had huge collections of action man . Action force . Had nearly all the masters of the universe !! And then some !!

i had the same question... if one comes off like on a star wars tht is an easy fix, it is the GI Joe stickers that i cant seem to salvage.

retrobright will work on the greeny/blue on cutter and will turn the fig a like new blue.

It would. But it doesn't always work well on blue plastic, and is not permanent. So I would rather leave it.

@@toypolloi trust me, on cutter retrobright will work mint. i have done it on figs that are a nasty green and the baby blue returned to like new.

I attempted to take apart my night striker, but accidentally pulled the launch mechanism out, then the spring popped out. I cannot figure out how to remove the launch cover without breaking the tab. Do you know how to open up the launch mechanism. I am afraid that I may snap it off. All of this led to the sled door snapping off as well. Any help, or schematic, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mine has not snapped off, but the leg parts are so worn out that the ratchet doesn't snap against the support anymore, and because of the springs, the legs fly back to the cab position

Please, wear eye protection when you use the blade of your utility knife extended that far out of the handle. Those have a tendency to snap and bounce in the most unexpected manner
