The restoration of the vintage Action Force / G.I.Joe Killer W.H.A.L.E Hovercraft continues. The missile launchers need a lot of work to get them working. In part two I repaired the bar they attach to. This time I get the launchers re-attached and a new divider created.

With liquid cement like Plastic Weld, you might find it easier to hold the piece in place then run the cement along the join with the brush - capillary attraction will carry the cement along the join.

Another way you could have made the missile holder is to make the two big sections that have a slit missing half way up the middle on one side and half way down the middle on the other one. Then they could slide together for a sturdier bond.

Love the way you think! For me, I may have changed the launcher connection bits to make it much stronger...but you manage to always keep the repair small, yet SOLID! I have never owned one but watching you bring this back to life is making me think twice about tracking one down! Top Notch.......AGAIN!!

Looks great, when modelling any war time vehicle there are always panels that are newer/less faded/different shade paints so it is quite realistic!

I do not know if the dividers should of been 4 pieces, when 2 pieces would of worked and probably stronger. Make it with 2 solid pieces, notch out the middle some to allow them to slide together.

You could do that, but it's a lot more work to cut a notch and get it to line up. This works just fine and is very strong. No point making extra work for yourself. Keep it as simple as you can. Cheers

So watching and thinking about those lego parts used as clips... Do you think something like that could be used as replacement "feet/claws" for the birds of gi joe? Like spirit's freedom or raptor's falcon. I've been trying to get my birds to perch again for a long time. Haha.
