I bought a whole set of Billards (USA) in 2022. 300 lbs: 4x45, all the way down to 4x2.5s, except 2x25s. All original, beautiful condition from Harrisburg PA. I paid $2 /lbs. The guy got them from his father, who bought them originally in the late 60s, in PA. At one point he had4x25s, but his cousin borrowed 2x25s and never returned them.

Hey Rob, thanks for making this video! I bought a set of 25's today ,and checked for the spokes ending, the letter O,and the made in Taiwan. Turns out they were USA made. Your video was a big help! I didnt know any of this stuff!!

@@vintageweightspgh I have some old Elieko bumper plates I'm trying to figure out how old they are. Someone said Elieko was the first people to produce the bumper plates in 1968. Ill keep trying to email you. I had trouble sending you one. It kept coming back Daemeon failure notice. Email not sent. I'm no tech wizard I'll try it again.

Great video. I only have one pair of 10's and one pair of 2 1/2's so far but I'm hoping to gradually pick up others in the future. I agree with you. It is so cool that the 2 1/2 Billard Olympic plates have the spokes. It just keeps the whole set uniform. Thank you for all the helpful information you provide in your videos without being a pompous, know-it-all ass like so many of the guys on the internet boards. BTW, what does the PGH stand for? I'm sure you must've mentioned it at some point but I missed it.👍👍

That means a lot. Thanks for the kind words. Those spokes just look cool to me! PGH stands for Pittsburgh. I love my city. Only after starting this channel and my Instagram did I realize that nobody outside of PGH knows that PGH stands for Pittsburgh 😂. Oh well.

These are a mix of repainted, stripped bare, and rusty. So in this case, I’d probably strip the rest to bare iron and either clear coat or repaint. I usually prefer original paint possible.
