Didn't think I'd like this one but love the final project and how you used it. I'm the first one to get snarky about tearing out funky old bits from an antique so I respect that you both talked about this and how you "paid homage" to where the piece started. So far your technique is the closest one that I will likely use to upgrade my cabinets. As someone who has been working with wood as a hobby for a few years. I was absolutely DREADING sanding to STRIP the varnish and stain. I don't mind doing light sanding to scuff or to smooth but to strip I didn't want my arms to fall off. Thanks for sharing, this project turned out beautiful!
