What a perfect description of an absolute classic fragrance! I adore and have worn it ever since my Mum bought a bottle for my 19th birthday. I’m 55 this year. Beautiful fragrance that always makes me feel super confident.

Bountiful! Thanks for asking. All sorts of organic fruits, berries and vegetables! It is a wonderful, meaningful record of fragrance you are compiling. Lanier doesn't really post anymore but he spoke of No. 19 a number of years ago. Chanel always inspires me so I tried it and immediately bought it. So glad I did. Thank you for bringing this and many other classics back to another generation. How about a fragrance review (your favorite sport fragrances?)from the cricket fields?! Ciao!😄

Great review. I love the modern EDT and had heard about how the Iranian revolution changed this scent. You should try the recently reformulated Cabochard EDP. Dirt cheap and excellent scent with lots of galbanum. I think you will enjoy it.

No.19 is one of my absolute favorites from the whole Chanel line. Springtime in a bottle! Love both the EDT and EDP but EDP wins on my skin. Waiting on a vintage pure parfum version coming over, can’t wait. Thanks for the review AC, pure class all the way!

Lovely review A.C. I have the modern EDP and Poudre versions and love them both. I was born in ‘69 so I completely Adore old perfume scents. I’m so jelly you have a vintage version. I’ll see if I can get a decant of the modern EDT to sniff.🙂

I purchased the current EDT and have not gravitated towards anything else I have. It’s my most recently purchased fragrance and the one I have almost finished. I will be on the hunt for the vintage formulations for the EDT and pure parfum.

My FAVORITE chanel... I have several vintage formulations of pure parfum and edt (the edp is lovely but... Simply a different perfume altogether)... I am going out to try a current formulation edt today because... Truthfully.. I have not tried a current formation since 2003!!! Let's see how it goes!

Thanks for mentioning all the versions of Chanel N19 ! I can’t agree more on the attention that N19 should have, because it’s a masterpiece indeed personally I prefer N19&N22 more than N5 but sadly Chanel is having all the attention on N5 instead the 2 masterpieces!! Although I’m late to the Chanel fragrance game, I’m going to have my hands on every N19 vintages that I can find now gonna collect all the different version of it!! Hahha thank you for this video! Chanel website lists Glabanum as an ingredient.

Yes, its still there but its not Iranian Galbanum anymore as after 1979, it became very difficult to get hold of Iraninan Glabanum oil and hence Henri Robert had to reformulate it. The modern EDT is still a very good fragrance.

social media is silent about this because young people don't like anything that isn't a sugar bomb nowadays. Chanel 19 doesn't sell well. Nordstrom only carries the EDT, and the only place to buy the EDP is through Chanel's website or store. If it weren't known to be Coco's sig, Chanel 19 in all versions would be discontinued by now. It is a brilliant scent but it is understood only by the most sophisticated noses now that the hype has passed decades ago

I couldn't have said it better Angela, and I am absolutely sick and tired of these modern sugar bombs. I buy so many samples of these modern designer frgrances and they all smell the same to me. Unfortunately, you can’t bathe in it anymore. Chanel has discontinued most of the line. No 19 is my signature fragrance, and I miss the bath products.
