Looks great Marc! I have a similar fan, (one of my many fans, haha!!) you have inspired me now to get mine restored!

The simplicity of these old fans is one of my favorite things.. no pcbs no plastic that turns yellow after very little uv light no plastic bushings. Presuming your brass bushings rotor and windings are decent, I don't see why (with new oil) it shouldn't last another 40+ years.. Just remember to keep your fingers away from the blade, and send me pictures ones its restored..🤣🤣 Cheers Scotty.

I came seeking knowledge about electriclean-ing the motor. Mines a bit greasy and the tape is falling off anyways

A can of break clean may help that situation or a safer option would be contact cleaner. It works wonders to remove oil and grease.. it also evaporates quickly wich is good for electrical components. Heat shrink is my go to for when tape falls off, and self amalgamating tape where heat shrink can't work. Best of luck with your restoration. Keep me posted 😁🍻
