Vintage Ford Truck Timing chain replace 351M

Does the oil pan have to be removed or will the cover come off and be able to go back in without lowering it?

Its best to remove the oil pan. I have found this to work best. Otherwise the front of the oil pan has to be dropped down in order to remove the timing cover. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

Curious, did it actually jump time?? Or what caused you to make the decision to change it??

It did not jump time ,but the looser the chain gets the more likely it can happen. There is also about 90 some thousand miles on this engine. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Are these 351M engines Interference or NON interference engines??

I did this video to give the viewer an idea what it takes to replace a timing chain on a 351M. There is very valuable information here to be learned. I wish when I did my first one there was a video like this.
