Today’s video was filled with fun finds and interesting information. It also included several items we have here at home: The 2.5 quart blue Pyrex in the snowflake pattern is the same pattern as a set of mixing bowls we received as a wedding gift. I have several small fruit bowls in the same pattern as the sherbets you found. Years ago, my parents gave me a Bluebird of Happiness from Terra Studios. I still have an Avon Little Girl Blue and the girl with the yellow skirt holding the flower basket; I have never thought to use them in a centerpiece, but that is a sweet idea. Thank you for the way you foster an appreciation for items from the past - and even items that I would LIKE to think are from the RECENT past. 😁

Great finds and I love the handwritten note with the salt cellars. I recently got a Fostoria bowl at an auction that included a handwritten note as well that I found to be so sweet and it makes me smile each time I see it. I travel for work, however when I am home again I will will post a picture of the bowl and note on the FB group page to share with others.

Loved seeing all the beautiful items and green is a favorite color of mine. A friend who volunteers at the Albuquerque Museum and has lived in New Mexico most of her life told me that Nambe is no longer made in New Mexico. The older New Mexico pieces will have Nambe and a number stamped on them. Some of the new ones do not state where they are made but they feel lighter to me. Still beautiful and I have a couple of the 'new' pieces including a glass tea light candle holder. The word "Nambé", comes from the Native American Tewa tradition, meaning "People of the round earth." You can have pieces polished but the cost of doing this is based on size vs a % of the original price.

Thanks for sharing this fabulous shop. I have my great grandmother's compote with lid. It is clear eapg in the winking/blinking eye pattern. I learned it can be reversed and with the lid inserted, it is another variation on a compote. Very unique.

It always amuses me to hear the term vintage applied to things I have that were wedding gifts (1973), high school graduation (1968), even things that were my parents wedding gifts (1946), they don’t seem old to me!

Oh! Beatrix Potter,I love her,I have a collection of first editions of her books,terrible condition,but precious first editions nonetheless. About 20 years ago,there was a traveling exhibition of her origional watercolor art,it was heaven.

I have the milk glass urn and LOVE IT. It goes with just about everything. I particularly like filling it with multi-colored baby carnations or Astramaria in white with burgundy centers. The Lenox oval shell is similar to one I have in a heavy, white pottery (1940's or '50's). I keep it on the dresser for keys, coins and sun glasses.

My mother had bought two Hummel lamps in Germany in 1952 when she was on leave from being stationed as a USAF nurse in Tripoli, Libya. They were indeed in her future nursery (7 children) and they are still in the family house where my brother now lives. Sadly they are chipped but I love to see them. PS - those green lamps looked amazing ! More green please :)

Fifty dollars for a bracelet with 12 sterling charms, seems a bargain, I received one with a charm from my junior high and a few other charms for Christmas 1963, I have that paddle wheel steamboat charm on mine as well, if that is a paddle wheel steamboat? Also have that Waterford ornament, I love the Lenox shell. Having a bad day, take two KLM Dutch houses and forget about it, I have several. The e avon ladies are very much mid 1970s . my mom hadcan enourmous avon territory when i was a kid we had to run those little books from block to block to help out. After she passed in 2020 in the attic we found several boxes of her sales samples and theladies were present still in boxes. ive been wondering what to do with them didnt realuze they had any value beyond nostalgia.

Baby powder is discouraged from use anymore. The powder is too dangerous for a baby to breath. Not many women use bath powderfor the same reason.
