I think its terrible some people out there think this is card altering. Coming from the arr world, I completely agree with restoration. All the arguments Ive seen and herd from people justifying the difference between what their opinion of restoring is makes little sense to me. Anything created or manufactured falls into their categories they come up with. As long as cards are not being actually altered such as cutting or bonding, which I don’t believe the polish is doing as some would argue, than you should be fine to restore these cards back to their original state. It’s really become an overstated issue in my personal opinion. You’re clearly restoring them, not altering the original factory copy. Cards already come with all those chemicals on them as well during the manufacturing process. I say excellent work and bad call on psa or any grading company taking negative action against you.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I show everything off from start to finish because I think it’s important for collectors to know how to do simple care like this. Many collectors are learning how to restore cards and clean them, and I love being a part of it. ✌🏼

NIce transformation, amazing. I have a question about the humimdor. What do you set the humidity to, for different results/conditions?
@kurtscardcare11 ай бұрын
Actually, the humidor has a little gauge, and it sets itself to 70% humidity. He just gotta keep distilled water in the little cartridge and it will remain at 70%
Hi Kurt. You have given me some hope. I have a childhood vintage collection with a bunch of those '76 tallboys. Any advice for storage of those in regard to sleeves?

@@kurtscardcare Thx Kurt. I had been out of the trading card game for over 40 years. So, I knew nothing about grading, Junk Wax Era, etc. until a year ago. I plan on getting a humidor soon which is a brilliant idea of yours. How effective will it be on corners?
@kurtscardcare Жыл бұрын
@@brirocks humidor is great. If you have a corner that is bent and you need to reshape it. If you're missing paint that sucks, but you can still shape corners better with humidity versus trying to do it dry

Hey Kurt luv your content presentation and was that a microfiber cloth you applied to wipe off the polish? Also, what's your application for whitening dingy white borders on for example '84 Fleer baseball card ie., I have a Kirby Puckett rookie that has dingy white borders all the way around can't tell if aged in the sun or whatever else could've happened to it? Any advice or upcoming video would help immensely!

Hey Lamarr, thanks for the nice message brother. Sometimes the dingy color is baked into the vintage cards. But I always tap the surface with my card spray like in this demo. When waxing off, do you have to go one with the grain. or can you do it like a car
@kurtscardcare11 ай бұрын
Great question, I like to go in one direction and off the card so I don’t catch a corner or an edge. The more comfortable you get you’ll be able to change your technique a little bit, but I always suggest going away from corners and edges.
