Welcome back to another video! This is the control box of the Kawasaki generator that I am doing, This was more work than anticipated and it will take longer than 1 week to do. Hopefully, it works when I am done, I am not too familiar with electronic restorations.

19:49 Your top cover or lid is on backwards. 😊 Note the overhang of the lid on one end and the bottom overshoot on the other. Compare it to your before shots where the case halves line up. Nice color choice on the case. Liked the plating setup for the hardware too.

Dear Reader, The charm of the control box were it's English/Dutch indications, wich seems to hint to the South African history. But at the end of the restoration the Dutch words were gone. Well, I had to notice this. With Kind Regards, Michel F. van den Brun Dutch viewer

Can you give some details on how you removed the rust and electroplated the screws and bits? That would help a lot

I usually use a wire brush on the bench grinder, if the rust is really bad I just sandblast it and run it through the wire brush again to get it back to the shiny finish and then electroplate it.

One is amps, and one is volts, I tried to source new ones but I cant find them anywhere.

Over time things are getting worse, there is a lot going on here. Looks like the entire country will soon have no power and the government really does not care.
