Meh, 25 year old RC, I think that’s pretty awesome, even though the diff took a dump.. great video buddy

Thanks man! I had fun doing it. I have an extra ball diff gear (I think) that came with the trucks.... hopefully it fits it.... I am not sure yet. It kind of looks like a plastic spur gear with lots of holes for balls in it. I haven't got around to looking it up yet..... but knowing Wade he will break out a CNC machine and make out out of titanium if he needs to.

That's one quick Losi. Hope there is a video of the diff being taken apart

I’m impressed Brian! This thing was was very stable indeed! I’m betting your right about the ball diff. It probably didn’t like that fluctuation of throttle inputs. Still very fixable and a very nice example of this truck! What a guy to help out another guy who’s helped you out. Wade is going to love this! Great video. You broke 60mph which you said you would! Alls well ends well! Take care and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🙏✌🏼buddy!

Thanks man! It was a lot of fun possibly driving a LXT truck faster than one has ever gone. 😁 Thanks for checking it out and Merry Christmas!

Oh no 😮 That poor truck. But I bet it’s a bunch of fun getting these old relics going having some drive time with them doing some speed tests and moving them to the next person. Excellent channel excellent content.

Sorry I couldn't hook you up.... I wish I had one for all of my KZbin friends and money to run the channel.😒

@@BriansRCStuff dude I know the feeling. I’d love to give back to everyone who’s helped us or given me more motivation to make videos. Wade has done a lot for you and he’ll truly appreciate this, and likely restore it to its original beauty which is cool 😎

Well that sucks something stripped in the gearbox but it did get up to 62mph . I have a buddy trying to sell me his vintage rustler but I’m not sure if I’m up for the deal.

I don’t know much about them. I have a vintage 4Tec that I’m pretty underwhelmed by but it’s still cool.

I just hit 61mph with my Losi mini b and it still pops wheelies at full throttle. Im trimming the rear wing, adding a brass hinge-pin in the front, and the front wing kit to keep it down.

Wow, bad a$$ man! I’m would love to see that thing rip! What is your setup?
@TKO59310 ай бұрын
@@BriansRCStuff I’m testing and tuning right now, but I’ve been filming some of it. I’m running a mamba micro x2 with the 8200kv motor. I’m geared up to 23t pinion and down to a 55t spur gear. Stock gearing was 18tpinion/60slipper. For battery a spectrum 850mah 3s 30c.
@BriansRCStuff10 ай бұрын
@@TKO593 wow! spicy setup! Can you go even taller with the gearing? I might suggest a 850 mAh LiperiAir 80c or Tattu 850 mAh 75c LIPO if you are looking for a little more speed. I bet they will outperform the Spektrum.

@@BriansRCStuff Great thing with the mamba setup is that I also have the b link jammed in there and I can check data logs. I think going taller will require Traxxas 48p gears. Also I have to watch the rpm on the 8200kv. Castle only recommends 2s with that motor but as long as you don’t outrun the bearings 70,000rpm rating you’re good.

@@TKO593 I would love a ESC that can do data logs. I would totally kick out with that! It would also help me know how fast my motors are actually spinning. I have a 5400 and 5900 kv motor on paper than spin faster than the 50,000 rpm rating for the motor but under load the rpm is much lower than unloaded so it is always hard for me to know just how fast the are spinning.
