It was awesome seeing the Batman Wayne Foundation in this video. I still have mine, with all the accessories, that i received for Christmas back in 1977, with the original box too. I guess even back then I was assuming that it would go down as a great toy so I wanted to preserve it! LOL

When I viewed this I squealed at the range of items...and the memories of how 1977-78 were the years my folks personally kept Mego in business lol. When I got my first “job” at age 12, I spent my own money on the things my folks refused to buy for me...which meant a happy boy (with concerned parents) with Growing Hair Cher and a full range of outfits for Wonder Woman to go undercover in...haha.

My sister had the Cher and Farrah Fawcett dolls. As well as Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. I have very fond memories of the Teen Titans which was a great addition to the WGSH line. The only thing worst then Mego being forced to cancel the Star Trek line was, as I have heard, Paramount then making them bid to keep the licence for the movie. Ah well. That's a great catolog, I can't wait for part 2!

The Great thing about Sonny & Cher dolls is that Mego didn't have to make a new body for Sonny; they could just use the Mego 8" Super hero buck for him and it would look just fine next to the Glamazon Cher.

@@BrickMantooth: Been a fan of your website for years, so great you are doing more on their dolls rather than just the action figures. You are right about Cher, (as you would know, she even outsold Barbie back in 1976!) @BrickMantooth4 жыл бұрын
78 was a great sales year for Mego, so was '79. Mego's major troubles began in the 1980s and they are mainly attributed to high-interest rates and the handheld video game implosion of which they invested tens of millions. Not having Star Wars didn't help for sure but neither did Hasbro or LJN and they survived.
