Barbie, I so enjoyed this flip thru. So many great ideas you have. Love to see how your mind comes up with all the interesting ideas for surreal collages. I've never done a collage on something as tiny as a index card. I can see how fun that would be with those small images. Thanks for sharing this magazine.

Cindy, you are so sweet. Your package arrived yesterday and I was giddy ............ I can't wait to try my new glues out. You didn't have to do that, and I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Yes, these mags are so much fun and I can't wait to do some surreal collaging with them. I've been looking for the Holiday mags on ebay but they are kind of expensive so I'll wait. Window shopping is always good. I am doing really good with the foot and hopefully, I'll be back in the craft room the end of this month. xoxo 🥰💕🥰

I have some really nice old movie magazines, and some great cover artists. I just can't get myself to cut them up. They're more of a collection. Maybe I will find some that I'm willing to cut up. They do have great images. I found mine on e-bay and at antique malls. It's fun rummaging around and finding treasures. God bless

Hey Julia 🌼💕🌼 keep your collection just that, a wonderful collection. I have very old coloring books, of my husbands, from the early 1950's and I could have sold them over and over again but haven't. They are a wonderful collection in my library and can't part with them, tear them up or cut them up. It's more fun to cut and paste from mags and books you have no emotional connection with. Good for you. Keep looking, mags like this are out there and it's fun to hunt ......... so fun to hunt. Good luck and thanks again for sharing and stopping by and sitting with me. xoxo 🤗🩷

BARBIE, these are fantastic and in such good shape! You certainly hit on a gold mind. And the price…unheard of for old mags. I paid about that for some very damaged Family Circle from the 30’s but they don’t have near the amount of color ads and things in them. Fun to see these. TFS 🥰

Pam, the guy in this shop I go to is so good to me. He's my sons instructor for Tae Kwon Do, he knows my brother, who had dealt in comic books for 30 years, ................. so, I get a really good deal and I am so grateful. These are great! I suspect the 1944/45 magazines were thinner due to paper rationing during WWII? Perhaps a similar reason for fewer ads? It looked like some of the ads were geared toward the war effort.
