You know that feeling you get when you leave something vintage behind and you wish later you would’ve gotten it? I have that feeling about that orange fleece and I am sitting on my couch in Chicago.

#pvv check out berberjin harajuku, twoface kumamato, capri in kyoto (this one is like a museum), taiga takahashi has a shop in kyoto as well, and of course kapital, sometimes different locations have special small batch items kinda at random so its good to try and stop at a store anywhere you're at.

Great tips on Grand St Local and Gentlemen's Resale! A couple other spots that might be your vibe are Front General Store and Crowley Vintage in Dumbo. Oh, and the next Alfargo's Marketplace whenever that drops.

I dig your content. Good videography, smiling and having a good time, mixed in with great jazz music and the adventures of thrifting! Glad I found your channel. Thrifting in Texas is so much different than NYC, which is on my bucket list along with Bobby from Boston and Crowley Vintage (NYC). Thanks!👍🏾

Aww man…if you found the grand bazaar overwhelming, stepping out of Shimoktazawa station will make your heart sink! My starting points there were the usual secondhand chains like 2nd Street, RagTag, and TreFac. But you’ll definitely be drowning in the multitude of endless vintage shops. You’ll definitely need an entire day or even two for Shimokitazawa alone. I started my day there buying a really dope big backpack at TreFac and just filled that thing up plus two shopping bags on hand. Yeah, I went crazy there lol. Can’t wait to see your vlog there!

I think it depends on how big her feet are, cause those socks in JPN will probably run small! My feet are an EU42 and I can still juuust fit into Hansel from Basel and Bonne Maison. If she has big feet too, I just got a pair of deadstock 50s men’s argyle socks on eBay and I’ve never been so happy to have big feet as a lady

Going Japan at the same time. For the socks, if her feet are larger than a woman’s 9, it might be hard to find socks in Japan for woman. If she doesn’t mind going into men than there is more chances. Socks in Japan are a little different but there are some with split toes. Please keep in mind it is highly encouraged to wear socks always. New ones if a light color because they see it as disrespectful to wear dirty looking socks or bare feet in restaurants or homes.

Such a fun experience that I had not sure if it was a one off thing but regardless that area you’re bound to find something cool. Love those thrift/shopping/browsing vlogs. I don’t think the success of such blogs is dependent on buying something, finding interesting things and clothes already makes it worth watching, even without buying anything. Buying things just for a “successful outcome” is a waste. A few things I wanted to mention: Little “warning” when visiting vintage shops in shimokitazawa. A lot of Americans find the shops in the area to be of a letdown because there is so much US goods getting sold there. Japanese denim is not as easy to find in second hand shops as vintage Levi’s etc. so definitely check out their stores directly if interested. (Especially since the yen is down so much atm.) Also just a quick reminder that the privacy law is different while filming in public, and in stores it’s always better to ask first before storming in with an already recording camera. (But you will handle that stuff well, I am sure of that) Some Tabi socks should be easy to find in Japan 👍 And lastly, just have fun and enjoy not only Tokyo, but Japan 🇯🇵 as a whole.
