Vintage Singer 206K Restoration Part #5: Final Demonstration on Denim

Alas, the restoration is finished! What a journey this has been. Disassembling this machine (and putting it back together) proved far more challenging than the average straight stitch machine. Nonetheless, it was worth it and I learned much. Though I did not record all the work I did on this 206K, I hope you enjoyed this series and learned something along the way!

I just finished watching this video and the others that you did regarding your Singer 206k my friend. You should be very proud of yourself. You did an excellent job. And you're going to have a wonderful machine for many years to come. And when the apocalypse comes, LOL. At least you'll be able to sew without electricity. I own a Singer 319k sewing machine that I got as a gift from a cousin, who didn't adapt well to this machine. And I went to test it using a 15 x 1 needle and sewed. But in our tests the needle bent when I changed fabrics and the machine stopped doing Zig Zag stitches and decorative stitches on the disc inner CAM. The arm that moves the needle has stopped working. I made repairs on SIGER sewing machines manufactured here in Brazil through video lessons on KZbin. But the SINGER 319K sewing machine is something imported and of different technology. I don't know if the excess oil I put in to lubricate could have loosened some internal part or the machine broke something and that's why the presser foot column doesn't work anymore to move to the sides and make the decorative stitches.

fairplay for puting the time in to fix it thats a nice machine does this have a bigger needle bar than the 306 some of them 206s were classed as industrial my one has the industrail knee lift
