The giveaway for the counter-threaded screw is that the slot doesn't go all the way across the screw. Good job!

Nice project! Beware that 15x1 needles varies in length with size and manufacturer. A thick Schmetz needle is in most cases a mm or two longer than a thin Organ needle. Also, I think the screw on the needle crank has a left handed thread, try turning it the other way!

Hi there. I'm new to your channel and haven't seen your follow-up videos yet, so I don't know if you figured it out yourself but that screw that holds part of the linkage for the needle bar (the screw you couldn't get out) is counter-threaded, so you were actually tightening it by turning it to the left. I'm 99% sure of this; while I haven't taken apart a 206, the 201 has the exact same system and the screw is counter-threaded there. I would be immensely surprised if they suddenly switched the threading on that standard part with the production of the 206. Happy Sewing! -edit- I see Balkongodlaren already pointed this out! Oops

i have 206 d model an a couple of 206ks one has a knee lift but it seems to have broke any idea on how to fix it the pressor foot just dont wana lift up the brace on the back of the pressor foot lift has broke that conects the knee lift

It looks like you know what went wrong. Try and fix the connection that broke.

I don't want to make much money, but I do want these parts I just collected off an old Singer find a good home. I will be keeping the metal stand and placing a nice wood top on to it. Should I just put the box of parts on ebay?

Why does your 206K look different than the one I have? How do you tighten the cloth belt with metal clips? The one I have is loose

There were a few different variations of the 206 made through its production run. This one looks a bit more industrious with the oil indicator decals. Others have more elegant decals like the 201. The zig-zag knobs also look slightly different on some 206's. Do a quick google search and you will see people have documented the different variations. In regards to the belt, how loose is loose? If its tight enough that the metal clips seat into + move the pulleys without slipping, do not do anything. These belts are meant to have slack, the teeth to all the work so not much tension required. Your only other option would be to replace the belt, and they can be tricky to find. I made the mistake of cutting a timing belt once because I thought replacements would be easy to find. Biggest lesson learned: Never mess with a timing belt unless you KNOW you can order the right replacement. Cheers

@@tobyssewingmachinerepair8949 you are awesome. Thank you so much for your help. I have one 206k that came with the table and I bought another one from eBay for parts. The one for parts turned out to be the better of the 2 but that timing belt is reasonably looser compared to the other and it has a bit of a tear along one side. it does turn everything fine by hand but when on its side it’ll run against the machine
