In the pokemon tcg, there are typeless energies which allow you to basically use them for any type but usually have some side effect, such as dealing 10 damage to the user while attacking. Something to consider though in pokemon tcg its possible to have cards which require multiple unique energies.

Thank you so much for making this game beef!!! I think being able to do your main phase in any order is a lot more fun. As long as attacking or swapping is what ends the turn, I don't see many positives in forcing an order of cards.

One of the best things about the IRL TCG cards is the simple fact that you get the chance to have a signed card, I mean having the cards in general is pure gold. But it makes me wanna get more just for a chance! Even if I may have already bought a few bundles 🙂

I pre-ordered 1 starter and booster deck when I found out but I think I might get a second of each because the starter deck only comes with half a game board (i.e spaces for 5 hermits + items and effects, not 10 hermits across 2 players)

here's an interesting idea for the 2 v 2 stuff. you could even use the randomizer to determine who gets partnered with who rather than have people try to claim dibs on another hermit. this is just an idea but it would be an interesting way to determine partnerships in future matches especially if there are any 2 v 2 tournaments later on

The main thing I’m curious about is if the alter egos will join the IRL lineup, or if that’s at a later date, if at all. A gym leader special pack could go well with the alter egos too, if they get made IRL too

With the 2v2 battle that just went to Xb and Cub is used for testing. I think with some tinkering on the rules might be good to see if it could be worthy of making some bold moves. However, this episode is a 2v2 test match, so I would definitely have Xb do some rule tinkering for some of the cards to implement some bold moves. However, This 2v2 test match brings something that might be able to use as a future situation. Beef, I think we could have a 2v2 tournament in the future to see how everyone could benefit most rules that might work on your 1v1 and 2v2. I think it's a great idea, but only at a future time to make an announcement for it. If a 2v2 tournament does go ahead in the future, you might have some brain storming ideas that might work out. I think this 2v2 match with X,XB and cub is only expanding the game, it could work out in the future as a 2v2 tournament in time. I think it's worth a shot, maybe make a call about it in a future episode. Great effort for getting the game much more expanded, it helps with more brain thinking for more expansions. Looking awesome :D

The way the board is set up gave me an idea for a 4 Player Royale -Have the players limited to 3 sections each -No one can attack besides the last player in rotation during the first go around The turn player cannot attack the player attacked during the previous turn (Ex: If P3 attacks P2 then P4 cannot attack P2 for that turn and must either attack P1, P3, or no one) (This is so no one can attack the same player all at once) -There could be a new win condition. Each player will still have 3 prize cards for when they knock out an opponent's Hermit but those don't count for victory, instead each player has 3 Lives and once they hit 0 they're out of the game. Last player to remain wins

Y'all have probably already finalized the ruling on it; but for using effect cards and attacking, it would make sense to follow the idea of "if you can use the effect card and still swap an active hermit with an afk hermit, then you can target a different active hermit than you are attacking"

Since I've seen quite a few comments that complain about shipping of the irl cards not being available for some countries. To those commentors: You might want to look into proxy shipping (while this is suboptimal, this is sometimes a way to get around shipping restrictions). Basically you pay a proxy shop to buy the cards for you and they then ship them to your country. Although you are certainly going to end up paying quite a bit extra on the proxy shop as well as paying for the extra international shipping. That being said I can't give any recommendations as I haven't had this issue for shipping from Canada/USA to Germany and what service works best for you would probably vary based on your country.

Beef, suggestion for mumbo nerf but still keeping it powerful and unique: 80 base damage+10 per green fireworks. You keep rolling until you hit your first red firework. Theoretically can do infinite damage but the expected value of a mumbo would be 100 damage. Which is fairly okay. (No doubling for other pranksters)

In 2v2 maybe you could attack your own teammates so if they have attacks based on having low health it might be a worth it gamble.

I thought of an interesting ability for a possible hermit card. (Flip a coin if heads heal your active hermit to full of tails heal one of the opposing hermits by 100hp, the opponent chooses what card is healed.) if you choose to put this ability on a card feel free to change as you see fit

Idea for a new Cub card in an expansion pack: Special move: [PvP][Prankster][Redstone] Total Chaos - 00 Deals damage to opposing Hermit equal to total number of item cards in play × 10. Double item cards count as 2 items. This is a fun idea requiring the usage of 3 different items to power up the move (matching the Total Chaos name). And with more items we get more chaos, dealing more damage, making this card good for the endgame and can counter opponents usage of double item cards.

I feel like, when one hermit is strong against another, that benefit should somehow affect every attack. However, it should for a special rule for special moves. Maybe something like doing an extra 25% rounded down. The problem is that you'd have to add more life values to have multiples of 5. An example with be Etho's slab would do the base damage plus 20 for the strength plus 25 for each green roll for a possible total of 165. It would be devastating, but it's also an ultra rare. I'd also like to see armor do the same kind of damage prevention, but I have no idea how you'd come up with the various %s for the different level of armors. Ditto with weapons. Maybe, for practicality reasons, only strengths and weaknesses can be for each attack and items don't follow that pattern. It probably wouldn't be very easy to implement, but would definitely make the strengths and weaknesses feel more impactful.

I tried creating a stall mill deck with Pearl, Zedaph, 3 Chests, and no card draw. It actually works pretty well. But it's not really a mill deck so much as you let the other opponent deck out themselves if they have any card draw. It might be interesting to have a common draw card that gave cards to both you and your opponent. Something like you draw 2 but your opponent draws 3? Maybe a hopper or dispenser?

this TCG isn't yu gi oh base, so I don't blame the not attacking for all for first time, so you have a turn to setup 1 or more hermits, and you got the cress cross turns right (you, opponent A, your teammate, Opponent B) :)

Love the 2v2 game mode! A good variety would be to ONLY look at your own hand, and be able to use your team mates cards on the board as you wanted. Add a little bit of trust and mystery to the match! Love how much TCG has blown up though so far!

so a possible tcg idea for the next expansion, maybe there could be 2 hermits or like a duo card that has 2 hermits on the card and is dual typing and requires their seperate items, but has a sort of combo move like for example a prankster mumbo and UR etho could do a move that flips many coins and does damage depending on the amount of flips similar to mumbo and etho but requires pvp and prankster items respectively, just using those 2 hermits as examples for the idea

I think it would. Likewise if player 1 had a rare Ren active, and player two had a rare Cleo active, player 1 could use Ren via Cleo to use any of their afk hermits special attack.

You couldn't use Sweet Face to heal the Wels if he was in red back to orange AND have to worry about an attack from him, he'd be active and you can't heal active hermit. It would be at least 2 turn wait, hopefully you could take out a red Wels in two turns.

Card idea: Nether Portal Discard any amount of item cards attached to friendly Hermits. For each discarded card, draw a card. Draw an extra card for each double item card discarded. Drawn cards can be used instantly.

I feel like powering up your teammate might end up mixing up decks and leave you figuring out which card belongs to whom at the end of the match. Simple solution to avoid this would be putting those cards upside-down on your teammate's side of the board.

About having team chat channels: is it possible to turn down the proximity distance for crouching so teammates can back away and crouch to chat, then approach to play and still be heard by all?

Wouldn't having a different firework for heads vs tails be good for an auditory cue too? Either a dud firework for tails or a large explosion (from fire charge which there are many laying around in chests from piglin trading) for heads? Minor but nice qol change because half the time you are looking in your shulker and don't see the outcome.

I think for role-play, it should the type of ATTACK you use that should determine advantage, NOT Ren's type. As what is hitting the guy is not Ren, but his agent. ;-p
