I think the only one I forgot to mention was the 2006 Ruf RT12S. It sold a couple years ago through an RM Sotheby's auction to Val from Grand Prix Motors in Portland. He offered the car on SOMO at one point and it has found a new home but I am not sure where.

After42 years driving you spent more on new tires for your Bugatti than I spent on Vehicles in my life. AS a 57yr old Mechanic . I hate doing body work so much I might have started the "Patina" look. Mechanicals wise you drive junk with pending work. I drive perfectly running ugly stuff. I miss my 1977 351w F150 step side, 1971 Duster 340 Deamon. home built sandrail if that counts. I know where they are I drove them all to the scrap yard. After pulling the drive train. Next swap a 5.7lt Hemmi in a 1987 YJ. LOL all body panels are flat so my last car ever I will fix flat panels.

I sold my Peugeot 205 to a young lad who wanted to have it as his first car. I sometimes see him cruizing around my village and it makes me happy to see a car that i know was reliable and fun, bringing pleasure to another car enthousiast. Fun vid Ed!

Had a similar experience twice as well. One was an Audi Q3 TDI that I bought as a project, fixed it up, then had to sell (was moving and could not keep it), which went to a relative of my dad's former coworker, and I still reqularly hear about it. Apparently, after I fixed it, it never broke again, and he couldn't be happier. Now, it's got a lot more miles, still no rust, passed inspection first try. The other one was a 1980s BMW I got on the promise of finding it a good home (original owner died and it sat for years), which needed a new fuel pump, and ended up with another friend of my dad. I also see that one sometimes, also never broke again from what I heard. I also got to talk with the new owner of the biggest lemon I ever owned, asked her about all the issues that Golf had. Her response? "Oh, it breaks sometimes. If it does, I just take the train."... Good for her, I guess.

⁠@@jrs4exThey were all regular ones. One had the 5-Speed manual, which was pretty fun. I always wanted one with the TRD supercharger and the manual, but they are pretty much impossible to find these days. Definitely a car that I will purchase sometime down the road. I still see a few release series models on the roads maybe once every few months. They are all pretty cool looking.

@@HAM8181 Have had zero issues with it (knock on wood). BMW has made some bad engines, but the N55 is extremely reliable assuming it hasn’t had stupid owners.

My mom bought a 1996 Cadillac Seville back in 2011/2012 that had freeze plug issues. She sold it to a guy my dad knew at the time because we had bought a 2002 camry in 2013. The guy hadnt transferred his name to the car on the title and so one random night, a cop showed up at our house and said that someone reported an unknown vehicle in their driveway. The guy left it running with the keys in it and ran from it or something. Supposedly, they crushed her (i highly doubt it but anyways), because mom was gonna try to get it back or whatever. I still miss that car and one day i hope to be able to own one cause she was a part of my childhood.

Ed still says he sold the audi to a dealer in Jackson, Mississippi. 😂 he sold it to a dealer in tupelo, Mississippi. They immediately had the wrap removed and I vehemently tried to get Ed's old tag 😂

I ran into my first car out in north texas in an academy parking lot. It was a 2008 Infiniti G37s coupe that id sold about 3 years prior south of Dallas in a town called haltom city. at first I thought it was just peculiarly similar to my old car so I walked closer to take a look. all of my small details (and damage) came together for me to make the realization that it was in fact my old car. It was an absolute wreck. paint was ruined, pillars were chipped, wrap was peeling (only hood and roof were wrapped) and the kid had spray painted the grille and chrome trim. it was sad. not the car I had sold. almost wished I hadn’t seen it and kept the car. was one of those one in a million situations.. I grabbed a photo and drove away 💔

My claim to fame was that I bought the e60 M5 from Ed’s brother (the screenshots shown are my pics). I transacted through Ed because his brother was working/living in the UK. I owned it for a whopping 6 months in 2018 before I sold it to the guy in TX. Sad that my ownership was seemingly written out of history but, at the same time, I kinda get it lol
