It's not. And if you ARE allergic or have Asthma, it will irritate your lungs and can cause harm long term, but it's not going to like instant risk killing you or anything like eating peanuts will to someone who's allergic to them. Yeah, most of the ppls think that mold (in cars) = places where you see it, where someone has touched their hands. But unfortunately that's not true at all. There'll be mold even under the floor carpeting, behind the door cards, inside the dash, inside the seats (cushion), inside the HVAC system & piping, etc. "It smells a bit" says Ed around 11:40 mark. Telltale how much moldy crap there's still in the cabin when it stinks even just after the cleaning / sterilizing process.

Went through all this on a 02 Thunderbird that had sat for 10 yrs in a garage. A customer brought it to the Ford dealership I worked at. Ended up having to do all the suspension bushings a power steering pump and a rack and pinion. It had 3500 miles on it. Thanks for that additional info on the start up. That is good negotiation. The cost for a part that can be a factor in price being worth more than the block is a very reasonable consideration. If one can negotiate the price of a block down in the purchase, even better. "Seller, knock of the price of exhaust because dont know condition, or price of the block because might cause engine issues starting to verify the exhaust" If was going to pull engine, then okay. Did he borescope the cylinders first? Still. What if exhaust was bad AND now damaged internals?
