When he walked up to my car he told me go get my @$$ in his car, so I thought that meant the back seat where I belonged LOL. So that's where I went.......The problem is he had an AR15 sitting on his backseat, which I didn't see until I sat on it 😬! He immediately yelled (with a little fear or excitement in his voice it was shakey) to get in the front (explicative) seat. It was later i realized that he realized if the wrong guy would have made my mistake it could have been a really bad day for the OHP........Little bird just happened to be hovering above us with the spot light directly on us. Anyways, showed up in court in uniform and asked for the defensive driving course since I was a first time defender and paid $440 which the judge approved. I always thought, Diesel cars would absolutely dominate cannon ball one day. As I stated february 2019 as a comment to another vinwiki cannonball video: "Well... Just buy the biggest Audi A8 Diesel, completely fill the trunk with diesel tanks and dont have to stop for fuel even once."

15:15 That Hillman/Sunbeam Imp in the “120 years of history” segment was unmodified and had a 6.5gal tank and a 875cc engine! In August 1964, they did it in 48hrs, 9mins, 54sec breaking E.G.Cannonball Baker’s previous record. Awesome to see the Sunbeam Imp recognized for its Cannonball Run involvement on VinWiki.

One of these day I will do the Cannonball run and set the record because if you're not first you may as well be last. Love these Cannonball stories Ed!

Man this makes me want to do a solo cannonball run. I have a 2010 CL550 with 26gal tank and room for a 40gal in the trunk. I love driving long distances and have gotten really good about being efficient on the highway if you catch my drift. I use to make 4-500 miles trips at least twice a week for a couple of years and learned how to cut that travel time down a lot without drawing unwanted attention from the dudes in blue.

This is honestly really cool. Not only the fastest non-covid run, but solo as well. Which is a feat all in itself. 27 hours may not seem that long staying awake. But if you're driving for those 27hrs, it feel like 40hrs. Grats on the achievement Chris. Maybe you can crack off

I was gonna say. Dont want to sound like a dick here but thats 240km/h and an average of only 170km/h.. thats traveling speed in Germany. I have personally been in a BMW going over 280km/h (174mph) on not empty roads. We did have to evade slow takeovers by going on the emergency sidelane but it was not tuned a lot and if you are in a race finding the least traffic possible? And he said he only did 151 by getting to his 120 but going down a big mountain. And 120mph (190kmh) is actually traveling speed. Thats what vans with families might do when going on holiday. Im not a racer and to me anything above 180-200kmh (110-125mph) thats when it starts to be fast. I know people that dont go off the gas below 220 (136mph) no matter the situation.. and his average was only 105mph and he WAS racing with roads as empty as possible

@@BrianOConnorPT Thanks for that, I had no idea that BMW would sell there cars with different type markings in the U.S. That seems like a bad idea to me fwiw.

Those people who block the passing lane are the worst people I’m convinced. It’s illegal in almost every state to block the left lane, so it can’t be that they are trying to force you to obey the law. They really have no clue why you are speeding, you could be trying to rush someone to the hospital, they don’t care. If you want to enforce the speed limit, go join the police or Hwy patrol. If you’re just mad because you’ve been programmed to obey, or you’re so small that you think your opinion needs to be forced on others, or you think you’re making the world safer, you are wrong like two boys making out in front of their grandmother in church. Just stay out of the left lane unless passing quickly and immediately getting back over.
@robertstahl88352 ай бұрын
It's also illegal to go 150mph... You can't be doing something illegal essentially for 27 hrs straight then take the high ground when someone else does something illegal. You aren't the right or wrong police. Some motorist decides you don't need to be going 120 in a 65 zone and blocks you... In the eyes of the actual law, what you're doing is exponentially more illegal than what they're doing. They would get a small ticket , if that. 120 in a 65 and you're losing your license, paying huge fines, and doing jail time in some states
@Paul_D_Lashley2 ай бұрын
@@robertstahl8835 so were playing the IF’s and But’s game ok. So if you’re driving along doing 66 in the left lane and it’s a 65 or you’re doing 64 in the left lane aka the passing lane, and there’s an accident up ahead. Now you and every other the laws I break are better than yours is blocking the emergency services vehicles from getting to the accident. All because you feel you deserve to do whatever you want and block the passing lane. Now instead if you use the passing lane as it’s intended, pass quickly and get back over to the traveling lane aka the right lane, then nobody has an issue and speeders can get tickets, cops and EMS can do their jobs and there’s one less I know better than you person on the road. Forcing a speeder to weave in and out of traffic is more dangerous than speeding itself. The whole point is you have no idea why someone is in a hurry so just gtf out of the way and mind your business. You can’t break the law also and say well it’s not as bad as this or that law. Just be a decent person and get out of the left lane unless you’re actively passing. It might be your loved one someone is speeding to get them to the hospital, or your house on fire, the off duty or volunteer firefighters are trying to save, or the doctor trying to get to wherever to help. Fact is you don’t know and blocking the PASSING LANE just feeds your little ego and doesn’t help anyone.
