This is great. I found Matt's channel about 2 years ago and just recently found Noble Records through YT algorithms. Love it.

Good interview, Matt/Too Many Records is right about living in LA CA., Amoeba is a great store I have spent a small or large fortune(depending on your financial situation) there. So many records sources in LA, Atomic Records(Burbank), Rockaway Records(Silverlake), Pasadena City College, Flea Market, etc. I would like to visit New York or Noble Records someday to hunt for vinyl. I believe Matt bought a turntable at Audio Element, Pasadena Ca, I plan on upgrading my TT, I will buy it there, I live 1/2 mile south of AE. THANKS ☮️🎶☮️

Glad he got to see Cornell with Temple of the Dog before he passed. Saw Soundgarden open for NIN which is up there for me on their last ever tour. Dylan opened for Black Crowes here and he actually was bad ass that night. I went into A1 once after an off broadway show with Danny Aiello. Cannot remember what I dug out of there but it was cds at the time. Long long time ago. It was unorganized as fuck then. Sounds like it hasn’t changed. Ken Micallef from the VC works at Jazz Record Center. Fantastic store indeed.

I’m still listening and wondering if he was djing or just collecting bc back when urban outfitters first startled records in I think the early 2000’s, djing was still pretty big and when ppl. was djing on computers vs on vinyl like the back in the days djs.

Like the interview. Matt should go to Park Slope Brooklyn for record shopping with a store there. FIFTH AVENUE RECORD SHOP under a new owner named Ryan. I recommend it to you and Matt.

"Do you like Townes Van Zandt?" "Yeah I do. Have you seen him"? "No, he's dead", decades ago. Funniest response ever. hahahaha. Which reminds me of another very recent Noble Records video where there was a quote about don't pretend you know stuff you don't. Too funny.

🎵✌ Great job guys got alot of info in a condensed talk and i'm a few more clicks towards Dillan, or Dylans' taste.. And has NOTHING to do w/age, when i was sneaking listening to P.F Animals in class i was also listening to and seeing George Benson.. I think maybe going to a party and hearing girls insist madonna was the best, but when asking who ANY other band members and getting the blank stare made me realize i was just more into the simple pleasure of 'Music' but also digging deeper prob 'musicians syndrome' kept me stuck w/the actually needing fingers on strings and real percussion for my taste as opposed to Matts' preferences (not trying to be a music snob) also still an analog dude, and would still visit both shops, just know what section i would be able to omit✌🍻🎶🎸🌟🎵🏛🌈⛥😎✨

Ya Dylan. Lana Del Rey’s new album is amazing. I was not a fan of any of her other work. But her and Jack Antoff knocked it out of the park. Great nighttime music.

Tell Matt I am sorry... Back in the day I got white ragey and got pissy because he did a video in a pool where he destroyed some records and threw them around with not regard. I blew up in the comments and rage quit his channel and unsubscribed. #AllVinylLivesMatter He has every right to do what he wanted to any thing he owns and I had no right to act like an ass hat.
@TooManyRecords5 жыл бұрын
Those records I destroyed were all completely unlistenably scratched. I hope you'll reconsider -- it was just a fun gag for the channel.
@valuevinyl1105 жыл бұрын
@@TooManyRecords I totally get it. At the time I was still new to collecting vinyl and where I live I have a hard time finding any and do not have much money at alll...and I did not have the ones you did for the gag... I take old scratched ones just like that and painstakingly repair them because I do not ever know if I will see them again at a price I can afford... I have a $20 limit per check in total for anything Record related... Sleeves... cleaning stuff... everything... so at the time it hurt to see them wasted in that way when I would have gave them a good home. Now that it is over a year later... I have over 4,000 records and I have seen the same Kenny Rogers Record 25 times.. literally.. I gave 10 away for free to my subscribers... I was an a-hole to Dillon at first too.. I have an issue with that... I will definately subscribe again.. you did make good videos.
