You are the biggest Redd Kross fan I know in the VC - surprised you didn't have one! The Racket Squad - nice. The original Whiskey Johnny Rivers album is great. I love that Sugar Shoppe album. Most of those Herb Alpert albums are good.

Uh oh, we definitely highly recommended the Redd Kross lp in our best of 2024 video haha! I guess we're think there can never be too many RK albums, as long as they're good like this one, keep em coming. For a band that's been around as long as they have, they should have WAY more albums by now. Maybe it'll grow on you

Slippin Into Darkness was the tune that got me into War, back in the day. The vocal arrangement reminds me of Gypsy Man, another favorite. I've heard Khana Bierbood on KCRW 24...will check out more of their stuff.

Great video VR. Herb Alpert great stuff I got both of those albums and eight more of his. Never heard any Thai psych before so I checked out the link and they have definitely been visiting the cosmos. The more I learn the less I know, keep up the great work VR!

I liked War without Eric B also and I liked War up to Platinum. Those albums were great. That Thai album is pretty crazy but to your point it’s freaking catchy. The Racket Squad is new to me, I missed that on Brian’s channel, I need to check that out. VC can be dangerous in getting you to spend money, especially me lol.

I didn't know there were new-ish stand alone releases of Monterey Pop: I'll be looking into that! Two words for War for me: Cisco Kid. Racket Squad is new to me, and love that garage stuff. For $5 a piece, why not, right? 😎🎶

You've shown a lot of Red Kross albums and talked about them quite a bit over the years. I guess maybe I should check them out. LOL..... Yeah Janis was something else. I liked her blues stuff... The Upsetters are the best reggae house band in Jamaica.... I'm a fan of War, I put up a live video of them and it's got close to 50000 views. . Telstar? I have the 45. My Uncle was one of the guys that worked on that satellite. He was an Engineer... Whipped Cream Herb, lol, everybody in the VC has got to own that record. LOL

The mummies have been playing a lot lately, they played John waters music festival not too long ago. Is your copy of never been caught a first press? I thought the first press was on estrus but I could be wrong. You should get the first supercharger album it’s kinda mummies ish. Herb Alpert was a shocker, I love that ventures album, I think it was there first I bought. Cool shirt!

Redd Kross are no doubt a great band..I never knew that Vickie Peterson of The Bangles was once a member of the band Also i didn't know Red Kross/ Recorded "Heaven Only Knows".. Which the girl group The Shangri-las.. Recorded in the 60s.
