There is nothing more satisfying then being there when an old collector's collection hits the market...and the shit is in magnificent shape! They've done all the work in hunting it down and trying to find it in good shape. All you gotta do is pull out the cash.....Call me lazy..but that's how I love it....Yeah..you'll pay a bit more......but who cares if the shit is in mint condition?

joe...what great memories...i had most of those 45's back in the day...i knew all the ones you showed except the last one...i knew the version by the raiders....we both grew up basically same time same place...60's...new york...wabc...ron lundy....all good stuff...yes, even the osmonds....and it was really cool seeing chick-a-boom....haven't thought about that in decades but always loved it.....you really need a jukebox to put these all in....that would be cool.....by the way...in the 80's, did you listen to 1440-wnyg radio...it was an oldies station out of new york...just curious...peace and good health to you and your lady...rocky

Joe, you do the same thing I do with certain records…I could have a decent Lp copy of something, but if I see a well kept CD or cassette for next to nothing, I get it. I’ve kicked myself later for passing up nice items. Congratulations on the single haul!

Nice selection. I have a few of those myself. At antique stores I'm always on the lookout for some old carry cases, but every time I come across one the seller seems to be using it for his 45s or it's the style for little girls.

Gypsys Tramps & Thieves seems to have a '60s label, perhaps the plant it was pressed at had left over older labels they were using up.

hi joe, what a bunch of great 45s in such beautiful condition! all winners for sure, the cher one on kapp is unusual because by that time i had thought they had stopped using the old label design and were using the newer modern orange label like you said, thats the one i had. maybe they repressed it because of demand and used the old labels they had left over or something. kapp has always been one of my favorite record labels from the 50s and 60s. really fun to see these 45s, my favorite vinyl format, thanks for sharing these! take care, rob

Please can someone tell me why every time I search for a 45 rpm record I only find the image of the vinyl itself and never the image on the cover? Don't 45 rpm records usually have them? PS: Thank you for all these vinyls charged with great energy.

Man That hit the sweet spot of my teenage years. Don Fardons version was a minor hit in Rochester, and 2525, my memory is it was a hit around the first moon landing. 45s were king especially with the allowance crowd, had to save or get LPs for Christmas and birthdays. Great video Joe.

9:35 - I liked "This Magic Moment" a lot, but I really loved the flip side "Since I Don't Have You". I had no idea it was a cover. I also love that version.

80's is my bag. Picked up a huge record that would not fit on anyone's turntable. For Delco autos part training record. Then grabbed Altered Images and Hair Cut 100. Couldn't leave those. Jay & Am Cara Mia and Jay & Tech Apples Peaches Pumpkin Pie my favorites of them.

Hi Joe- Enjoy your channel. As others have said- great haul of pristine 45s! I love it when I find them in pristine condition-including the original sleeves! Have a question for you-we've all seen the increase in value and prices for all things vinyl- especially LPs. Do you think the value for 45s like the ones you just showed, in NM (or close) condition with original sleeves, (and promos as well) is going up in value? What's your opinion on that? Thanks!
@MeanMrMayo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeffrey. I would say it comes down to specific artists and titles.

I listen to classic 60's and 70's hard rock along with heavy metal (Sabbath, Priest, etc.) and some electronic (Kraftwerk, Art of Noise, etc) and Prog rock (Yes, ELP, etc.)....having said that: Guilty pleasures: 1. Petula Clark - she's great in concert - go see her. 2.LuLu 3. Neil Sedaka - he's great in concert - go see him. 4.Bubblegum 60's music 5.Old AM radio one hit wonders 6. Need I go on.....because I can.... And yes - I still spin my "24 Goofy Greats" (K-Tel) at least once a year....ask me if I feel guilty? Fuck no......

I wouldn't play Sweet City Woman either. I bought Sweet And Innocent too. Shoot me. I've never seen a Kapp label like that either. Yo-Yo was my favorite Osmonds song. "Press Records"?? We used to say "If it's on Dunhill, forget it!"

Here’s a question, being from the U.K. I have quite a good mostly 50’s 60’s 70’s singles collection, do you think there worth more or less than the U.S. versions?
@MeanMrMayo2 жыл бұрын
No idea.
@tuckertastictk5 ай бұрын
I know I’m a year late… but UK 45s are probably worth more. US singles are mostly made of styrene which doesn’t hold up well.

Does anybody watching this not only remember the DeFranco Family, but if so, does anyone think they were a blatant ripoff of the Osmonds, especially when Tony DeFrano and Donny Osmond looked and sounded so much alike.
