Just wanna suggest, for those who don't have a mixer yet and don't wanna buy a sound interface, there are a bunch of mixers out there that are dvs ready like the Traktor T1 back in 2010 I guess and lately, the Z2. I also have tons of vinyl records but when I discovered dvs, (I got the Audio 8 and the S4), I fell in love with it (back in 2009), when Traktor was still at par with Serato dvs-wise.

I love vinyl but don't have a big record collection. I used to play on Traktor and CDJs and looking at getting a DVS setup. Would you recommend Pioneer over Traktor for this?

Sorry i missed this. I think that Traktor is the more robust and refined solution. but to me it's very attractive to stay within the Pioneer/Rekordbox Ecosystem without switching Databases. That's why i'm currently using the Interface 2.

Cool Video! Because of you I buyed 2 technics mk2 and an allen an heath xone 96. The Xone 96 has a buildin audiointerface for traktor scratch but i have recordbox on my Laptop but dont have the Pioneer Interface. Is it possible to use the Pioneer DVS without an Pioneer interface? and i just buy the pioneer Vinyl? sorry for my bad english

great video thankyou , i also lived in ibiza for 40 years, so from one ibicenco to another , i wonder if you can help me , , i wanna get back into a bit of mixing , for my mind body and my soul LOL , im on kind of a buddget so couldnt afford the latest decks , so i opted for a pair of denon dn-3500, just to get my juices flowing , later on , who will know ? , bottom line , these decks do not have a usb port , i do have loads of cds , but would like to be able to hook up to my laptop, using , traktor , virtual , rekordbox , whatever ? what do i need to buy to make this happen ? , i hope you can help , ? if you are in ibiza right now , as i imagine you are , have fun, i dont regret one day of my 40 years living there , kindest regards from the UK ,, Gary :)

No you don't need the box if you are using Mixers that are DVS enabled! They act as the soundcard. Have fun!

Thanks a lot! The soundquality was really good in the home-enviroment. I did not test it in a club, so i don't know how it reacts to massive Bass and other problems here.

Yes the X1 has a Midi Mode. You can use that to contol any other software, also Rekordbox.

@@wildboary how to Map it in Rekorbox. Some of the knobs on my K2 do not map for some reason. It sees the K2 but for some reason the very top knobs don’t map therefore, won’t work. Thanks man!

@@djsugarbear6079 hey mate. hm i have had success to map those knobs to endless-dial functions like loop size or FX-Size. or the bottom row for scrolling in the browser... does this not work for you?

@@djsugarbear6079 scrolling through the tracks works better with buttons (beat jump), because then you stay in the grid. also you can move the loop with the same buttons once you have activated a loop.
