Thanks, yes all depends on a matched original soviet playback chain. Sometimes soviet Vinyl needs a different playback filter curve than american RIAA. They sound best with the old soviet RRR playback amp. Dont miss the old Latvian soviet hymn: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGbClIykhLB6ibs

Wow, this is the cleanest and most perfect quality recording of the Soviet Union anthem ever! I have that vinyl too :) But i have a question, I would like to record my vinyl with perfect sound quality, how do you record vinyls in this excellent sound quality?

Hi, you need a soviet phonostage (I used one by RRR Rigonda) and a very open cartridge. The best cartridge would be the soviet GZM 128 or the GZM 108 (Those can be also attached to normal 1/2" tone arm mounts) , you can still find NOS in Russia. A danish Bang and Olufsen cart MMC 5000 or 6000 (that are very similar to the soviet GZM) would also work great. Check out a very good soviet Korvet pre amplifier up-028-0 that has the good phonostage integrated. A soviet Brig 001 also works fine.

I migrated to the United States and I came from an Asian country, the reason I played this vinyl is bcos I finished watching the TV Series "The Americans" Dont ask me why I have a copy of this vinyl After playing this song over and over again on my vinyl player @ Home The day after , FBI and CIA raided my home (my room specifically) and asking me questions such as "Are you KGB" to be honest , I feel proud of my self that my neighbors thought me as KGB just for playing this Russian anthem lol

I think the LPs in Russia had some slightly different filter standards than US american RIAA, so the REMR stage by RRR Riga-Rigonda is perfectly optimized for the playback of HQ soviet vinyls ;-)
