- You seem like a very serious person, and deeply involved in music, judging by the shelves behind you. you're such a vinyl-head ! Besides, I'm a GREAT FAN of TG. I've been listening to their music since the early New Wave years. They lit the fire of synthesizer research and composing tracks in me. They kept me going through all those years untill now. AND also : Siouxie was one of my idols back then, and STRANGELY I've been plundging again in the Banshees swimming pool just recently, just before getting across your video. And wow, what a queen she is. Man ,all that is weird, isn't it ? So... I SUBSCRIBE.

Great buy, dereck! I got my vinyl re-issue of TB's "20 Jazz Funk Greats" in the mail this friday from BoomKat Records in Manchester... for me personally Throbbing Gristle always reflected the anger & melancholic ugliness of growing up as a kid in the late 70's/early 80's in a post-industrial town

I stumbled upon this video somehow and well... we have alot of taste in common and I'm even looking into some stuff I haven't heard before and am grateful for your musical explorations. Subbed! Happy September 11th. -edit: posted this before even getting to the end and that's hilarious... I didn't realize you were in Son Ambulance... I was really into Saddle Creek records when I was a kid, lots of great memories surviving Florida as an emo boy spinning alot of you and yr kins records, people used to call my house Sadler Creek

@24db Hi Andy, I played at Cafe Zapata and had a great time. We stayed at A&O Hotel in Mitte, very modest accommodations if I remember correctly.

There is so much going on in the background during the song Slug Bait. The way they recorded the instruments is really wild. The guitar has a massive wall of sound type of thing going on. The song meaning reminds me of a horror movie scene that I would turn my head and would not be able to watch. A bit too creepy for me. Maybe if I was younger I would dig it a lot more? But I dig the sounds of Throbbing Gristle. Enjoyed looking and hearing about your roadbook. Talk 2 U soon Dereck~ Rob/Boston

Maanam is indeed a polish band... I'm from Poland and I could tell you that here it is well known band :) The lady on vocals, Kora, is somehow similar to Siouxie Sioux. Anyway if you are into it, you could check out their first untitled album from 1980 or Nocny Patrol from 1982 (this one was released also in english edition as Night Patrol). Another good polish post-punk bands are Republika and Brygada Kryzys, cheers.

Yes! "I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight" fantastic album. Give the lyrics a listen; you're only getting half of the picture listening just to the music - as good as that is!
