50-somethings will recall this on Junior Choice radio shows way back. The Anglo-Caribbean vocal group from south London featured a Harry Wilmot - entertainer Gary Wilmot's dad!

This song featured on Tony Robinson's 50s show on TV last night. The last time I heard this was on children's favourites in the early 60s.

Me either but mum used to say '' I am a mole and i live in a hole '' so when i read the title i had to come and listen to this.
@starlord21126 жыл бұрын
The mole line is spoken by Harry Wilmot, father of the variety performer Gary.

Harry's brother (and Gary's uncle) Allan Wilmot is probably the only group member still with us today at 95.

I had a version by somebody else when I was a small child in the early '70s. Can't for the life of me find that one anywhere.

@@paularmstrong2306 No, that's not it- especially since Henry's version is from 1981. I think the one I heard was made for a children's album that I had and was sung by the same unknown singers who did the rest of the album. But thanks for putting Lenny's version on my radar- that was fun! :D

I wonder if we had the same album? Also had Three Little Fishes
@elveggoloco Жыл бұрын
@@Pakkokman I don't remember much from it, but I think it also had a song that went, "do, do, do, do, do, do, do you know what's happening at the zoo?" And I think also a song saying did you see Johnny's ball go bouncing down the street? Have done some searching on these lyrics and haven't found anything.
