I think what a lot of people forget, particularly, those who jump on such situations negatively, is...this isn't chronological. No, really, a lot of the camera footage you see is mish-mash and not in order of sequence. Some of it is staged (like when they have end of season fireworks, others are genuine, some or half and half, like a generator blowing. Don't blame the crews but the editing and director team for the decidedly obvious set ups of "drama".

I know I have seen them light fireworks off on a boat before I don’t remember what season but I know for sure in my area you can get fined and/or arrested for lightning fireworks off a boat because they can appear to be distress flares. On the 4th of July weekend I would always go out on my boat the whole weekend and the one year it was crazy how many boats were setting off fireworks I heard so many calls on the radio that night saying a person that lives on the lake seen a boat shoot a flare so the coastguard and/or sheriff boats were racing around all night. After a few hours I would hear on the radio that they have people in custody. My brother inlaw was a coastguard he said one night they got called for a suspected flare but they get there and see firework packages floating all in the water near their boat they ask the people on the boat if they were setting off fireworks and they said no we thought the batteries were dead and we had no radio because no battery power so we set off a flare but then realized the battery switch was off. My brother inlaw played it cool he said ok no problem man we just wanted to make sure you guys are safe and started asking questions about his boat like how long he has owned it he said he just bought it a month ago so that’s why he forgot about the battery switch because he’s never had a boat with a battery switch, then telling the owner how cool it was and how he wished he could afford one, says how he’s a gear head and loves building engines so the owner says yeah I’m really into building engines too so he starts telling him all about the engines and how the engines blew up when the boat was only 5 years old and the boat company would not warranty the engines so the original owner listed it forsale and he bought a 5 year old 200k boat for 30k then he pulled the engines out, took them apart and just needed to sleeve a few cylinders on each engine and freshen them up, so my bro said what year is the boat? He tells my bro the year and my bro said so the boat is 10 years old you bought it when it was 5 years old so you have owned it 5 years not 6 months like you said and I see fireworks in the water all around your boat! My bro said if you were honest with me I would just have given you a warning but because you lied we are arresting you and towing your boat. The guy said he was sorry saying it’s just fireworks! My bro said well here’s the problem when you light off fireworks people call us saying a boat just launched a flare so we have to check every one of these calls we can’t take a chance. Imagine there is a family on their boat right now that’s sinking 1/2 mile out from the pier where we stay tied up all the times and because We had to come to check on you 11 miles away that family ends up drowning because we couldn’t get there fast enough but if we were at the pier we would have made it to the boat 1/2 mile away before it sank to save the family. How would you feel if that happened? Pretty bad I bet. Yeah it’s not very likely that this exact scenario would happen but it could and that’s why we can’t have people shooting off fireworks or even flares unless there is an emergency. Even though fireworks are illegal in this state cops don’t even care about them that’s why they don’t bother people when they set them off at their homes but in the water it’s a big deal people’s lives are at risk.

She wanted to sell the boat after their dad died after the boys ran the boat for a couple of seasons and did not make money so Josh found some business partners to buy out the majority owner . Josh and jake inherited each a 12.5 percent share of ownership from their dad . The show led people to believe their dad owned the boat himself but after he died they revealed he only owned 25 percent. Because crab meat is very delicate, it starts to rot almost as soon as they die.
@MAGGOT_VOMIT
@MAGGOT_VOMIT 3 жыл бұрын
It's a standard because the canneries have no idea how long the crab have been dead. The meat doesn't rot and stink in that icy-cold water. What happens is soon before or after death, liquids from acidosis in the crab's gut like bile get into the meat and ruin it.

Co-Captain’s is a bad idea. 50-50 split buying the boat is a bad idea. Humans need that 51% sole leader to follow. No debate, or hindsight gossip when everyone follows orders from a trusted Cap’ .. Make Josh the XO or give em his own f***in boat Discovery. He deserves it

ehhhh hes not really that great of a captain if you watch the show. hes a chill dude and im a fan of him, but i think this situation is tailored to him, he gets to be in the wheelhouse with Casey who basically does everything and makes sure everything is going well. he has a safety net while still being a captain sometimes. i love how you directed the comment at discovery like they are in charge of buying boats and appointing captains and getting quotas
