This song fits so good. Violet the solider never feeling anything, only knows how to follow and kill. Life of blood and loss. One of my all time favorite anime of all time.

I would debate that this entire series is about ptsd and to a lesser degree, survivors guilt. Ptsd can often make people emotionless or lose their empathy as well as often resulting in memory loss. Violet the soldier DID feel. She felt everything. Thats the point. That level of emotional overload causes severe trauma. Writing these letters is how she regains that part of herself.

And the context of the scenes fit so perfectly. Its perfect. When I hear meet me on the battlefield at the end when she stamps the letter, I hear a longing that makes me think she prefers the fighting and war, if it means that he'll be there with her, but at the same time hates it because it was the battlefield that took him away too.

This Series... Movie.. Story needs way more Attention and Appreciation than it does, maybe i live under a rock, no one around me has given it a chance at all. "Its too slow.." it hurts me honestly, raised in a military family, hurt during my own time training that took me out. I feel some people just don't wanna feel anything but excitement these days.
