Was listening to Violet by Hole and remembered your wonderful vocal cover and I had to cut Hole short to come hear this again. Damn I mean what can I say this is a memorable cover that hits hard and lasts like the memory of learning you where adopted at the age of sixteen lol, nice love it thanks again. She is using false cord and fry scream. It's very common and it takes a bit of practice, I would suggest learning how to fry scream and then try doing that but with your voice :). It's pretty much belting but with distortion, hope it helps
