Scleroderma caused the heart and lungs of my mother to harden causing secondary pulmonary hypertension. This is what caused her death. What's so strange is that her skin was affected only on the hands and she lived only 3 years after diagnosis. Most people will have skin hardening all over and live years with this disease. It's been 11 years since passed at age 54 and there is still no real, effective treatment to stop disease progression...just management of symptoms.

Seeing videos like this is a good reminder to not always be angry when it takes the doctor so long to come back etc. You deal with so much and who knows what will happen next. I’m usually pretty good at remembering this, as I’m usually to busy panicking because I’m still working on breaking down the wall of fear towards needles and eventually doctors that I built up over years. 😅 hopefully I won’t be meeting you in the hospital setting, because being sick is no fun....for now I’ll enjoy your videos from here lol.
