I’ve read that an orange provides far more calcium to the body than any dairy product. To my knowledge if I recall, an orange also provides key enzymes to aid in breaking down the mineral. Been a while since I read the article, but I’m not particularly keen on the dairy approach when studies constantly reveal that the majority of the world’s population are intolerant.

Chicago - December, 1972 - I was a medical intern on the ICU rotation. The schedule was 36 hours on, 12 off (the latter including commute time). It was, as quite commonly the case at that time pretty typical. The problem arose (for me) when my co-intern was admitted with severe shigellosis (pooping out blood with low blood pressure and high fever). I got to do my 36 hour shift, then 24 hours of his, then mine again, for a total of about 76 hour straight (only because I was allowed to leave at noon, rather than 4PM the last day, when my co-intern was discharged and allowed to take the elevator to work in the ICU). Even wound up running a code at about the 70 hour point. Later, I was told I ran a "perfect code" though I was wearing socks, shoeless - my shoes had someow reversed left-to-right and I couldn't figure out how to solve that problem and put them back on. As I recall, I got a grand total of about 10 minutes of sleep some time during the second night just before the code. My last 4 hours I just started IV's since I was cognitively shot. I should not have driven, but I had to buy my wife a Christmas present. Couldn't parallel park, so I double parked on a Chicago street, paid the store guy, ran out again to the car, and drove home. "Sick call" coverage had not been invented yet. Reported back to work 8AM next day. So, things are "better" but nowhere near where they should be. I think this is the most important video Dr. Deshauer has posted.

A masterful review of "hyponatremia for muggles." Luckily, a hypothalamus (which regulates the thirst sensation and also gives instructions to the kidneys about how to handle water) is (usually) smarter than a doctor and (always) smarter than an internet influencer. A key factor is the rapidity with which the water enters the body, faster than the body can alter what's called "idiogenic osmolytes," such that fatal brain swelling results. It's so sad that a brilliant, concerned, wonderful communicator can't fix rampant human stupidity. Hyponatremia from most of the other causes she reviews (like cancer-related and medication-induced "syndrome of inappropriate diuresis") at least develops more gradually, allowing appropriate medical intervention. Kudos to you (again!) Dr. Deshauer!

I was horribly ill with all kinds of random health issues popping up. I remember the day I went for a routine women's health exam and they had me pee in the cup. My urine was dark orange red when I collected it in the cup. I was surprised that they never said anything about it. I guess they thought I was just dehydrated because I lived at altitude. But, they still should have said something. After a few more years of suffering, I was finally diagnosed with multiple tick born infections, including Babesiosis which is a malarial type parasite that infects your red blood cells. I notice these days that is no longer routine for your doctor to run a urinalysis. Good news is there are many home testing kits available. I highly recommend having these on hand. As an aside, on the Methylcobalamin to remove cyanide. You all should know that they common/cheapest form of B-12 in vitamins is cyanocobalamin. Cyano = Cyanide For your body to get the useful cobalamin, your body has to strip it off to convert it to methylcobalamin then to get rid of the cyanide from your body it has use that methylcobalamin. Just spend the few dollars more and get methylcobalamin. If that form makes you hyper, agitated or irritated you can try Hydroxycobalamin or Adenosylcobalamin. I like a mix of all three forms for my supplements. Also, at one point in my Lyme treatment, we tried Methylene Blue. That blue stained everything. It's an off label treatment that has shown some promise for persistent infections.

A code black was called on me to alert security because I was loud and abusive with staff who were about to kill my sister (patient) by administering the same medication TWICE within minutes. This happened because nurses were not recording drug administration or cross checking each other. The medication was potentially fatal. I just happened to be visiting her at the time this happened. Result……. Hospital administrator heard and recorded my complaint. Procedure was changed because I made them aware of nurse short cuts . Turns out there had been a few deaths recently. My experience as a patient, nearly went pear shaped when a nurse in recovery ward gave me pain relief without first checking my record to see that I’m allergic to opioids! Fortunately, I was in recovery ward after my operation where there are more nurses per patient than ordinary wards. I remember being surrounded by nurses yelling and shaking me, and trying to force something into my mouth to prevent me swallowing my tongue. One asked another “ what did you give her ?” Apparently I was not breathing and on my way too my maker.

A large percentage of people who have alpha gal do not ever remember being bitten by a tick. I believe that there are definitely other vector for the disease. It's not just meat. It's dairy, also other products from mammals. Lotions that contain tallow or lanolin, I personally can't even touch the stuff. Also gelatin capsules that your supplements can come in. Collagen, even if something is vegan, the cancer causing carrageen (seaweed extract) can cause reactions in people. Also white sugar is processed through bone char and can cause reactions. So cook from scratch at home like your vegan besides chicken or some fish. know how everything is processed and look at your body care supplements etc. Even cleaning products, wool clothing, etc. Be diligent and remember even if you go out to eat and order vegan foods it can still be cross contaminated and at most restaurants you can't eat. I hope this helps someone, it's nothing to play with. Take care

Oxalates are a plant defense chemical. They do not want to be eaten so plants poison you. Oxalates removes calcium. Eat meat and you don’t have to deal with oxalates. Additionally, Moderation is ridiculous. Eat primarily meat from a large ruminant animal. Meat gives you all the nutrients you need (See. Dr Ken Berry). Oh and fiber is 100% non essential for the human diet. All sounds crazy but it’s not.

You think you didn’t get the Covid vaccine when they were determined to get that vaccine in everyone? Funny how man made meat became mainstream during Covid and they admitted COVID has been found on some meat. You have 1/4 of the population that refuse to get the vaccine and they have lab grown meat they can put what ever they want when ever they want. We all got the vaccine even if you didn’t get the shot

So you find the cause of the arthritis, but at that point there is nothing that can be done to fix the problem; except for the patient to adapt and overcome. So, whoop-di-doo, you know how it happened.

It is much simpler. Just eat food that doesn't try to kill you. The "in moderation" argument is a severe case of cognitive dissonance. Once you have to balance out the poison from your food with supplements, something is REALLY wrong with your diet.

Amazing info! The B12 and homocysteine connection I didn't know. For the past year or so I've been doing IF and modified my diet considerably reducing my animal protein intake. For the first time in my life my homocysteine has gone through the roof including my LDL. Perhaps B12 could be the missing link? On the flip side, I have lost a healthy amount of weight though.
