I can't agree with this for most low spenders and F2P at least. Maybe at your spend level the spending/alliance is getting you close to VIP14 faster but for most players T5 is a way better option because it is a way lower gem requirement. Its 400k VIP/Gems from 12 to 14 while upgrading castle is way less gems. As long as you didnt waste all your speeds the war tech on the way to t5 will help you make the couple of marches you have at that stage more efficient. This helps your reputation in KD and stats for migration which a lot of players should or need to do. Plus it will make playing more fun. Not to mention increased rewards you get from doing events at higher power or being able to compete in some holiday events etc. Your stats and account are likely to look terrible while you spend on for vip14 with low tech in SoC and you likely wont be in a good KD/alliance which is way more impactful than 80 GH which is really not as impactful as some people think.

VIP 14/T4 Units -Quicker investments into Meta commanders. -Cheaper Resources/Expensive speedups : KP gain -Moves quicker (helps alot if you dont invest into tech as march speed difference is HUGE in SoC Crystal Tech) VIP12/Castle -T5 Units are slower but hit harder -Expensive Resources/Cheaper Speedup : KP gain -Delayed investments into new commanders. If I could redo my account in the beginning I'd definitely rush to Vip14, maybe even vip15 for the healing speed 50% boost before even unlocking T5 units.

Brother u miss out on like 150ish gh from doing castle instead of vip. And t5 u forgot to add that u can complete further into events. Giving u more rewards

I think it was 44BD or Omniarch who had a video a few weeks ago that claimed the core damage difference between t4 and t5 was around 12%. Just the difference in the troops. That's not exactly an enormous gap. Thanks for the video.

Umm I talked about how Wick gaming did a T4 vs T5 video where that was the difference. Not sure if Omniarch talked about it or not. But for more info look up the Wick gaming video. He had a lot of great content.

@44Busdriver yeah, like I said above it was you (44BD) or Omniarch who brought that critical information to light. I couldn't remember specifically as it was a few weeks ago and I am getting old. Hard to remember. I think that not so large difference is an important extra consideration when thinking about going for the VIP 14 early on versus the t5. As you noted in the video: early game players get so hyper focused on the t5 luster when the gap on the troops alone is not that huge. Obviously many other factors can widen the whale gap etc. Thanks for another helpful video. You are doing good work

I would like to add that T5 grants power that gives you access to hardest lvls of many mat events like ceroli and Ian Ballads which gives you better rewards on those events.

You can do all those events without T5s. Get a good march and good equip and you won't miss anything

@@aghost4877 problem is not that those events are too hard without T5. You simply doesnt have enough power from T4 tech to take part in hardest lvls.

8:14 I think it depends on what kingdom you’re in. I crossmigrated to KvK2 in September. I was wrecking ppl with Gold Key commanders Then KvK3 we were destroying the opposition because most of KvK3 fights are Ruins & Altars. So I only needed 1 march & I was wrecking people with T4 Boudica/Zhuge My Castle was 25 btw. That to me was a huge difference maker. VIP 13 for most of this time & I managed to stockpile 1676 universals because I had no reason to invest in any commanders. Prior to this all I had was expertise Boudica/5542 Zhuge, Expertise Ramesses & Amanitore. That was my only expertise commanders. 5524 Joan, 5524 Martel, 5524 Mehmed. This is what I was working with & trouncing ppl KvK2-KvK3 My struggles was before the crossmigration in Imperium SoC KvKs for 2 years. I’m “caught up” now. Boudica/Zhuge maxed, Amani/Hermann maxed, Martel 5515/Liu Che maxed, Joan 5525/Mehmed 5534. Now I’m just waiting on getting Ashur, save for next Cav, or wait to get Gorgo; I have 130 universals. My YSG is 5513. I can field 4 marches for now.

If you are a new player, focus on vip 14 and you will thank yourself later. If you are a veteran, medium spender player from SOC wanting to get some fresh air and restart again, focus on getting t5 before kvk 1 fighting begins will give you lots of fun pwning noobs.

Depends on what your gold head/commander situation is, and stage at the game, if you know what you’re doing already on a new account with a jumper group, getting that T5 by kvk 2 should be the goal. But most people are more laid back and should be going for VIP14. Also, using T5 when you dont have a top tier march is just a fast track to huge hospital bills, or only being able to use them in rally/garrisons. However if you do have a top tier march you’re looking at better trades and importantly, a more enjoyable experience. Its a game! One thing to consider, you should be trying to max all your tech and building as soon as possible. If youre in SOC this means that you can pour all of your building and research speedups into KVK tech, and that is going to have a massive impact on your kvk performance. I can say this because its the current situation i am in (wanting to do that but cant). Its hard to say which is best, but if youre able to do both before SOC then go for VIP14 then T5, if not go VIP12, then T5, then VIP14.

TBH it all depends and what type of circumstances you are in me personally i unlocked vip 14 cuz there was no war going on with my kvk2 ended early and kvk 3 is all about farming so i went all in on vip 14 but if you have war going early game those stats of like 45% from t5 you dont need t5 troops just stats will help a lot just run t4 in field those stats will help you a lot in fight you will get a lot of positive trades from open field but you must have better commander for it if you dont have good commanders just go all in on vip 14 save GH for SOC

in current time its better to just go all i n on vip 14 and save sculptures for soc cuz you will need them a lot with new commander being released every 55 days meta has been changig frequently you never know when the commander you invested will fall out of meta

Its less T5 & more lvl 25 Academy. VIP 14 isn’t gonna help you not take 50-70k sev wounds even though you have a maxed Nevsky/Joan Lvl 10 research for your troop type, Health, Attack & Defense will Its cheaper to get your Castle to lvl 25 than it is to get VIP 14. It takes like 500k gems to get VIP 13 to 14 It doesnt cost that many for books of covenants VIP 14 is a midspender/high spender thing. I still dont have T5, I have VIP 13

Just wanted to say great video, but I did feel like you missed another aspect of getting t5 first, which is being able to perform better during events and doing higher difficulties of events for more rewards. Just my take. I do like vip 14 first though.

Ive hit VIP 12 and now im going half and half gems on (more than gems) when im VIP 13 ill concentrate on castle to 25 which i should be close by then and with the 80k gems ill be getting from the (GROWTH FUND) ill use that to finish to VIP 14. Im 175 days in. 23 mil. VIP 12. I only buy the battle pass and gem supply thats all. spend.

what would be the priority considering the effort? - kvk weapon & helm - kvk skin - maxing commanders - vip level or anything else? might be an idea for a video (for f2p or low spender of course)

It depends where each is at. If it’s not at the minimum threshold necessary then that’s the priority.

i am mostly agree but you didnt touch of 20 gold head/MGE event, without t5 is almost impossible to get decent placement. also kinda disappointed that there is no cost benefit analysis gems wise, like yeah extra gh and buff is good but is it worth the cost?

@@68Busdriver I am quite fortunate that from start of my early game that my alliance give more than 2000 vip point per day (5-9 gold chest consistently). So I think passively I can get VIP 14.

@@68Busdriver I know it different experience from one person to another so the focus of either T5 first or VIP 14 should be case to case basis. If you didn't get much VIP point from alliance gift chest maybe you need to focus on VIP first. If you get a lot of VIP point from alliance chest than maybe T5 first once you have enough speed up and then VIP 14.

Kinda surprised that you really didn't touch this aspect because I think 12inchpvpness said briefly about how much vip point per day that you get. Should I spend all my gems into VIP or to unlock commanders im in season 2 KVK

You definitely shouldn’t spend it on commanders in kvk2. More than gems is an event that comes around once a month (I think) around the beginning of the month. That’s a good place to spend up to 50k gems over 2 days and get 26 GH out of it.
