Omg this is how my divorce went it’s almost identical! Except he only let me see my kids twice a month for several years! He lost his babysitter after cutting his mother out of his life and as the kids got older they wanted less and less to do with him. My son is now 22 and lives with me. My daughter is 14 and also lives with me but I truly believe he only allowed that because he had no other options. My heart breaks for this girl. I know exactly what she’s going through. He turned members of my own family against me. He continues to degrade me regularly. I’ve moved on with my life. I got remarried 7 years ago. It’s crazy to me that he can’t move on and live his own life.

Because at the end of the day both parents are expected to support their children. Just cuz he has a good job and makes a lot of money, he is the custodial parent and the mom should support her children as well financially. It sounds like she signed a parent agreement with him without legal representation. She agreed to whatever he put in front of her because she was so desperate to get out of the relationship(which is not uncommon for a victim of abuse). She says she was experiencing severe mental health problems that included psychosis. If that is true she may not have even been in the mindset to sign those documents. None of this, the child support, the custody agreement, her mental health evaluation, etc... was ordered in court. It was part of the agreement she signed with him. Hopefully she is able to take it back to court and get it evaluated because none of that seems like it was in the best interest of her or her children. If his lawyer drew all that up and had her sign it without representation he should be investigated because it is predatory and unethical.

I feel for her. I was married 15 yrs ended up with joint custody he was the custodial parent even though he is a felon and had domestic charges against him. My son took his life shortly after our order then said father was aloud to legally kidnap my girls by taking the 25 hours away from me. One now lives with me and the other is an adult and lives in her own. It is a dreadful situation the courts do not care!!!!

@@kimberleyforbes8312Good for you! I’m in a not dissimilar boat, but I’m the younger sister. My older sister’s husband passed away several years ago, prompting us to begin a closer relationship. We’re both very damaged people bc of our parents, that only ever learned to trust our spouses and have now found amazing trust in each other and our similar experiences growing up. We often say we grew up w the same parents but a different household (bc of the time difference). They were the same people but they treated us very differently also. They put her on a pedestal, whereas my mother parentified me starting at age 8. But they broke us both. I hope you and your sister can find love and solace in each other the way my sister and I have. Mind you, it took a couple years of just daily “goodnight” texts to slowly build up the trust we would be there for each other to occasionally open up on the days we needed to here and there more and more until the floodgates flowed freely. Trust issues and all. So start small. Like daily goodnight texts or some small gesture to say “I’ll be here for you consistently if you need me to be - I’m not our parents” and let it build. Show don’t tell ;) the trust and love will build despite the age gap and any distance. I wish you both the best and all the healing in the world. PS so many great resources about healing here on KZbin - on cPTSD etc. Also the subreddit “raised by narcissists” has never been MY thing but a lot of people find catharsis there and perhaps you might.

I’m a mother on child support. My son was taken arcoss state lines when he was 2/3, his dad and grandma severed communication and I didn’t see his face or get to hug him again until he was 10, 2017. I got my first job EVER in 2020 at 29 during the height of the pandemic and within 6 months, I was subpoenaed to appear in child support court. I was like what the literal fawk is this bs?! The judge did not give a shit. Did not care about my story or the fact that I’d LOST my son, I did not walk away from him, he was taken… without my knowledge AND having already told them NO. Lost my job in late 2021 and I almost went to jail bc I went into arrears. I haven’t worked since, have to pay 250$ a month, DON’T even SEE my son AND have a 90 day suspended sentence juuust in case I don’t pay. I have 3 other children and 2 step children that I take care of daily. FŮČK the system y’all. Keep the government OUT OF YOUR SHIT. They are hurting GOOD PEOPLE bc PEOPLE EQUALS MONEY, ALL of them. My son will be 17 this year and I’m JUST NOW getting to repair a relationship that I DID NOT damage. A bitter “baby daddy” is something that isn’t talked about enough🤷🏻‍♀️And the ONLY sufferers are THE CHILDREN.

I too had my 7 yr old emergency removed from my custody from default of a court date that I never knew existed nor did I knew that we were having a custody battle over her that was my introduction to our custody battle My daughter was gone for 8 years I told the judge that day that he was making a terrible mistake and he would be seeing me again just like I said 8 years later stood before the same judge and got custody of my baby back by that time she was a teenager her father shot up his own sister's house with the firearm with my child inside of it I tried to tell them that he was dangerous they falsified court documents lied on me tried to run my name and then parental alienated me for 8 years changing their phone numbers moving never showing up for visits for me to pick her up when I had to drive over an hour to pick her up every other weekend I was stood up. Hell is going to be really hot for these guys let me tell you I too and now trying to repair a severely damaged relationship with the child who didn't grow up knowing me. we were robbed

I did fight to get him back and even just to see him yk. I was only 19 when they left and we went back and forth for 2 years, that’s when they cut all contact with me. They changed their phone numbers and even though I knew the state they went to, I didn’t have an exact address. I had to wait until my son got older and pray to God he would want a relationship with me. Luckily, he didn’t believe the things they had told him like me “abandoning” him and even said he’d ask them if I was so “unfit”, why did I have all 3 of his siblings?? They had no answer. But, he’s a young adult currently and we’ve talked at least once a week for a few years now. He also visits his home state (where I still am) and I’m looking forward to seeing him this summer.

Her ex husband (a lawyer) got custody of two children by straight up lying about her and bribing judges (some of whom were his mates) this was proven. He had a PI follow her. The court cases went on for years, she literally never stopped fighting, she would run out of money, recoup, run out of money, recoup and that was her life for over ten years. She wasn’t an angel, she made mistakes (nothing huge) but she loved and wanted her kids. She, along with her whole family ( who I know very well and are lovely) couldn’t see the children alone. If she told the kids she was fighting for them she wouldn’t be allowed to see them again for months. They resented her and thought she abandoned them because that was what they were told. She fought not because she thought she could win, but because she wanted to prove to them, one day, that she never stopped wanting them. She hung herself two years ago. Her family is finally in contact with the now 18yr old son, trying their best to let him know what his mother was like. It’s a fucking tragedy.

He has done some terrible things over the past 7 years, tried to remove my child from me, stalked me, had other people befriend me so he can know what I’m doing, tell my sons school that I’m mentally ill and a terrible parent etc. the best thing to do with these kind of people is ignore them, they want to fight. I have a friend who’s ex left a voicemail for him, it was her telling their son that she can’t have a birthday party for him anymore because his dad is planning one or something really ridiculous. He sent it to me, and I had chills listening to it. Their son was crying and didn’t understand why he now couldn’t have a birthday party with his mom. She basically just called to leave this conversation for dad (my friend) to get, I can’t remember if it started with their son leaving the message asking his dad why, and she never hung up purposefully to hurt dad. She is vile. I hate her.

There’s no way he’s not committing parental alienation when he’s spending so much time and effort to disparage her online and making websites dedicated to that. And she said in her video that she stands by that he hasn’t hurt their kids but he has done not so great things to them mentally. That is hurting them. That is mental/emotional abuse. And that’s not okay. I really hope she’s keeping records of every little thing and is going to take him back to court for custody. Their children are just pawns to him obviously. They’re tools for him to use to punish his ex wife for leaving him. Abuse isn’t just physical. She needs to get a restraining order. I have seen so many true crime docs that are very similar to this case. They usually end up with the controlling abusive person murdering their spouse or partner or kids it’s horrific. Scientology has a history of going after people stalking them and harassing them after they leave the church and if he’s a Scientologist he’s just doing what his church does. Hopefully the mom will get her kids back. If those girls stay with there Dad they are going to need a lot of therapy when they get older. My heart just breaks for those kids. My husband's ex chaaed him around with a knife. He called the cops then managed to flee the house. But because he left, the cops said they couldn't do anything and without proof they just left. My husband said he thinks she was also trying to poison him. He was getting sick but got better once he got away from his ex. All his symptoms showed arsenic poisoning.

It takes money and lawyer. As someone who represented myself in custody court, it was the hardest thing I have ever done to go against an abuser, manipulator, with a lawyer. It can go really bad without a lawyer and sometimes lawyers that do pro bono will only show up once for a restraining order but custody court can be years long.

I’m genuinely concerned if he’s cornered and feels he’s going to lose control of “everything” (Eg, the last pawns he has - his kids) that he’ll burn it all to the ground. Her lawyer should be warned of his potential volatility imho so he doesn’t end up feeling cornered w access to the kids. 2. She should really post a go fund me to help w lawyer fees. I think people would help her - and I think he’ll try to out-lawyer her or bankrupt her in court to win, even if he bankrupts himself in the process. That’s a narcissist/BPD for ya (which he v much reminds me of).
