Then, when they don’t understand that and insist that an assault rifle is an actual thing that exists, I’d probably try (pointlessly) to educate them that it’s just a propaganda term like “undocumented worker” or “fluid gender”. I could make a strong argument (backed by statistics) that a handgun is more dangerous than an AR-15. I could make a very strong case that a typical hunting rifle is more dangerous than an AR-15. And I could make a very strong case that the AR-15 is not a “military” weapon. Simply because, it isn’t. And that’s all without even getting into the guaranteed protections of the Constitution based on it being the most popular rifle platform in the country. I can use it for defense. I can use it to hunt (though not that effective by comparison to other rifles/shotguns). And I can use it for sport shooting. That’s just off the top of my head. Sounds multi-purpose to me.🤷‍♂️

Hammers, steak knives, automobiles. As the 2nd amendment is in regard to firearms, they must specify which firearms to get them banned. The "we must ban something" idiocy is a non-issue if you cannot state what must be banned. You may be impressed with their strategy but it will not serve them well when you must write the name of the show you think needs to be cancelled. We are not cancelling all of them to make sure we get the one that upset you. Those complaining must be clear about their complaint. Rules and distinction matter to us.

They want to ban *EVERYTHING* that is a threat to their lives and power hegemony. Public safety is nothing more than a convenient excuse. forget your conspiracy theories for a minute and answer this: why do American laws allow for such a high volume of mass shootings? at the very logical core, to reduce these events, would either a ban on ALL guns be voted on to reduce as much as possible deaths (as it seems pro life is a tune that many like to sing but seldom apply it outside of birth related matters) or keep guns but severely regulate rate of fire and caliber. if none of the above is addressed, nothing will change. and yeah, the states IS the laughing stock of the world, especially when it comes to double standards as meddling in foreign affaires when at home, citizens are killing each other. well done 'merica.
