Pro interview tip: when you're interviewing a subject and you ask a question, let them answer the damn question... not get two sentences into their answer only to be cut off by you asking a completely different question.there were so many times when I wanted to hear the rest of what she was going to say or hear her finish her thought, but the hyper interviewer would just cut her off and ask a new question. Really annoying.
@saintejeannedarc9460
@saintejeannedarc9460 4 жыл бұрын
That would likely explain why she seems annoyed and is giving unusually clipped answers. This is probably clipped from a longer interview (or not?), but she is usually more forthcoming and friendly, plus funny. Her trademark sense of humour is absent from this interview. Too bad.

I'm VERY dissapointed in you Debbie ! I sent you a birthday card to your home in Jersey with a couple photos of me and my little girl, telling you what a big fan I have been since the 70's. I searched all over South Street in Philly to find a Blondie t-shirt for my daughter, bought several of your CD's and albums over the years. Saw your concerts many, many times. I really love Union City Blue. It gives me chills and goose bumps. All I ever wanted was an autographed photo. I never received one. 💔😭 I hope you see this and reply. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💯💘😍 You are just as Beautiful now as you were in the 70's ! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝SAVE THE BEES ! 🤩😘

Debbie Harry does look fairly bored ("it was cold") and I can only watch 5 mins of it before being bored myself! Suggest, Debbie (likely) would have enjoyed a sharper approach / attack. The interviewee / interview lacks energy so she hasn't much to be engaged about.

Some awkward long-winded questions man. Relate the short questions more back to Debbie's experiences. You seem to be feeding her your responses and sound a bit like a fanboy with all due respect. I read the book and I would ask her about lyric writing, the impact of the environment in NYC in the '70s. It was quite a rough place. How did get by living, trying to find work, and playing in a band in the mid-70s in a place that was considered violent. What is her secret to staying fit enough to perform rock music? etc..
