Only thing that looks improved are the character models. The stages and background effects were a complete downgrade in my opinion.

At least the Dural stage is entirely remade and looks better also you can see added mist in many stages that weren't present in the old version. And of course the texture is more detailed. Hope they can fix all the points you mentionned in a new patch later on

Kage's stage looks somewhat improved, however it seems that Ninja work is not making enough money to pay his grounds keeper with all those grass patches in the ring and why the hell did they remove the red Kanji? His Vanilla stage and theme were much better.

I get that Ultimate looks better, but considering the time between releases, these engines are an example of diminishing returns. Actually, I like a lot of the FS stages better.

The faces are hit and miss. Some are really good some have questionable choices. The lighting in some changes is too dark. Like Akiras for instance. Thanks for sharing. Gotta get the game.

Lighting in some some stages straight up sucks on US. completely ruins the mood of the originals. some even lack details like photo flashes on Arashi's stage, the Cherry blossom particles on Roi's stage and the floor tiling bloom on Brad's stage. The new character models are pretty nice tho

Yea a lot of people simply like the old more SIMPLY because it's the original, which is ridiculous. I've been playing VF5/VF5 FS since forever and i love the game to death but with few exceptions the new game looks better across the board, and it's not even close in most cases.

WHAT are you DOING sega?? The only thing that even looks better is Sarah Bryant and the close up on Kage Eileen looks way worse, most of it looks off.. If sega wanted to be smart, take the original 8 characters and make a new virtua fighter focused on having the most realistic fighting physics keep it all simple but focus on realism. something that NO ONE seems to want to do or even ask for for some reason.
