How did you get the games displayed in 4:3 while in HD at the same time? Also wish I can get this on PSN. Actually I wish these Fighting Franchises has a Collection Set similar to HD and Street Fighter The 30th Anniversary Collection. Specifically Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur and Dead Or Alive.

you need to adjust the video game settings for 4:3 PS3 / X360 was launched during the transition from 4:3 to 16:9

Graphically and gameplay wise VF5 outdoes Tekken 5. VF5 looked amazing for the time it came out and it's gameplay is still just as fluid and deep as it was in 2006, one of the greatest fighting games of all time. Tekken is just a more popular series, not better.

Virtua Fighter siempre le sacaba la delantera a Tekken en cuanto gráficos hasta el Virtua Fighter 5 (Considerando años de lanzamiento), después de eso Virtua Fighter se ausentó y Tekken siguió con Tekken 6, Tag 2, Tekken 7. A estas alturas con lo recaudado, Namco debe tener presupuesto suficiente para costearse tan altos gráficos como desee en un hipotético Tekken 8. Me interesa ver como le quedaría a Sega un hipotético Virtua Fighter 6 si deseara competir en graficos contra un Tekken 8, Ultimate Showdown se ve genial.

Lastima que no hay VF 6/7/8 pero los juegos de pelea ya no son lanjoyande la corona en los videojuegos como lo fueron en su momento. Ahora que el maximo miembro del equipo de tekken le tenga tanto respeto a VF y cada ves que lo entrevistan y habla del tema sus respuestas se sientan como si tekken quedara de segundo al lafo VF, a mi me dice bastante. Ojo que para mi si en algo tekken humilla a virtuafighter es en los modos de juego para consola que en ese aspecto VF es bien flojo, pero en el multijugador es cosa de ver lo que hace sega en su ranked de juego y como funcionan esas arcades interconectadas "online" por todo japon es una brutalidad. Ambas sagas tienen cosas muy geniales que a la otra le faltan y no olvidemos al tercero en discordia Dead or Alive que como rival de estosnse a puesto muy bien las pilas salvo para sus presentaciones que es por lo que nos gusta y despresiamos xD.

Tekken 5 is a game originally designed for PS2. Should we not be comparing VF5 with Tekken 6? T6 might have released later but it's kinda pointless to compare the graphics of VF5 and T6DR, it's a generational leat (apart from the high resolution of the T6 PS3 version).

Even Tekken 7 looks gross sometimes in comparison with VF5. Animations transitions physics system: VF is on an other level. Especially Final Showdown gorgeous animations!

Actually Virtua Fighter 5 was released a year later to Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 a year later to Virtua Fighter 5. So in comparison terms is not wrong when you compare VF5 with Tekken 5 and VF5 with Tekken 6, technically they are from the same era.

Using PS2 hardware or a super computer for a cutscene can get you visuals that look relatively next gen because it does not take that much horse power. That is why VF5 looking better then the cutscenes in T2 is impressive.

Tekken5 dr was download only and is running on ps2 hardware upscaled to 720p for hd tv's, this was when full hd was the highest resolution tekken6 is the true ps3 fighting game because its running on ps3 hardware

Joguei muito esse Tekken 5 HD no PS3. Era 1080p e 60 fps. Depois, quando fui jogar TK6 foi dificil acostumar com 30fps menos de 720p (variável) e aquele excesso de blur em todos os golpes.

Nope! It is a port from 2005 SEGA arcade hardware. The SEGA linbergh (First VF5 location test in 2005.)

procurei e não encontrei... imagino que me passou a ID (PSN) e não a Gamertag (Xbox Live) sendo que não jogo VF na PSN, pois não tenho VF5FS na PSN, apenas jogo na Xbox Live, lembre-se que o VF5 do PS3 não tem o modo online que há na versão do X360

Because it was previously an update for the original Tekken 5 which later ported to the PSP as Tekken Dark Resurrection, the PS3/PSN version you're seeing the video (T5DRO), like the game title says; added the ability to play against other players online, though at a removal of Story Battle mode and the characters' endings.

I'd say Tekken has the superior gameplay because VF is almost dead and Tekken is the best selling fighting game franchise of all time. There's a reason Tekken is so successful. It's just a more fun game to play while VF is too damn realistic and actually feels boring because of it. Still, it's a beautiful game to watch for sure.

Tekken being more popular has nothing to do with better gameplay, it's more popular because it started on the PS1 as opposed to the Sega Saturn one of those consoles sold 104 million and the other 9 million. Tekken is also flashier so that helps as well. Neither one of those things means Tekken actually has better gameplay, it doesnt. VF is deeper and more refined, it's also always been more balanced. VF has never felt "boring" to play at all, it's a joy to play and watch.
