True fear comes from the unknown - it's universal (since everyone has their own fears they fill in the blanks). Very few monsters stay scary or become scarier the more you see them. I'm still waiting for someone to utilise all the options VR has to scare me senseless. Especially phycological horror tricks like forth wall breaking stuff like making you think the game has crashed then booting you back to the pass through mode but there's something visible in our actual room from within the headset or using eye tracking to move / distort things just out of your direct line of sight so it's always there but you can never see it happen properly. Or using the real micorphone to hear you if you're hiding from the monster - ala Alien Isolation. The final thing would be to include hundreds of different ways the game reacts to the player but only showing a handful on each playthrough so if you play it again you might find loads of things to scare you missed the first time - but this would require a lot of work that only a handful of people probably see all of it. Madison is pretty high up there and Phasmopobia in single player are both pretty good for that. Alien Isolation Mother mod for the fact the alien learns from you so it gets smarter the longer you play forcing you to change tactics. Propagation Paradise Hotel makes great us of re-animating things you think are dead or if you make to much noise come back to life - knowing when to fight and when to run away - perfect cat and mouse changing dynamic gameplay. Or perhaps the best one - a game that doesn't in anyway have any mention of horror but when you play it just very occasionally things happen you can't explain and it's only seen by a handful of people as the randomiser code let's only happen a like one in a thousand. Like a nice game like Snow Scout but you keep seeing someone or something way off in the distance but they keep disappearing before you can get close!

The social screen on psvr1 worked 100% of the time so i could put anyone in vr. My psvr2 shows a black screen on menus until you get in a game so i cannot navigate for them. Adjusting lenses and eye tracking just ads another barrier.

As a Disney fan, I really enjoyed Happy Funland. I thought it had way more to it than I expected with lots of Easter Eggs and a story that was much more fleshed out than anticipated. And in the U.S., we had ShowBiz Pizza as our pre-Chuck E Cheese place!

I love Lies Beneath. It is like being inside a comic book. Exorcist Legion got a new scene this week. I will play it tonight.

Half Life Alyx was scarier than RE 8 and 4 Remake to me personally. Also, Rocky and Bullwinkle is (or was) very popular in the U.S. as well

Good show really think sony is holding back porting over some of the best psvr1 games until next year as too many games coming out this year and dont want to put everything out in one go. Prob will anoounce some in feb for year 2 anniversary.
