I would personally still take the psvr 2. Air link has compression artifacts and the controller haptics on the PSVR more than make up for a cable.

They have done alot of work on the PSVR 2 version

@@VRGRID I have never played the PSVR2 version, didn't even know it existed, I have only played the PS4 version where you can play as Duke Nukem... Which changes absolutely nothing except everyone speaks to Duke as if he were the other guy and Duke goes "Huh what are you even talking about?" ninety percent of the time Which btw is neither an improvement or a detraction from the already horrible story

Alyx is a very polished game with some nice game mechanics, but it is also a very simple linear and shallow game that also shows its age with some antiquated game mechanics like slow movement speed and teleport to climb or jump. Put these games head to head category by category, and I would easily argue RE8 beats Alyx in almost every category.

Looking maybe prettier is literally the only thing the game has to offer over alyx😭 you’ve labeled mechanics tailored FOR VR as a downside of Alyx when the RE8 and 4 ports fall victim to not being able to compete BECAUSE they weren’t designed to be played in vr. There’s that as well as Alyx being paced much better then RE8, stylistically being more interesting and setting the benchmark for VR gaming as a whole. RE8 and 4’s PSVR2 ports are extremely impressive tech showcases that prove not just how capable the RE engine is but how VR hybrid games can work and be viable but when compared to a game that was designed and developed to be played IN vr hold zero ground 🤷🏻‍♂️ Let’s go head to head, compared to linear progression of Alyx (linearity in gaming does not = bad btw, horrible take if you think so) RE8’s back tracking in the castle while having bosses follow you seems cool at first but falls flat on its head when you realise how much they expect you to actually do it, Alyx use of a straight forward approach to following a simple goal of unlocking the vault to its advantage of being simplistic and not to over barring to the player. Another point, the movement of Alyx is designed around going slow, enemies move at a comparable pace and you’re MEANT to use the teleporting mechanic as a means to dive in and amongst cover. Don’t agree lmao, but that’s for facilitating the means for me to talk about the video games I like btw. I don’t hate either of the RE ports and have played both of them 🫶

No one who knows what's up is saying VR is dead, in fact its more popular and turning more profit than ever before. Unfortunately, it's growth is also tied to the Quest these days and has put the industry back visual wise. Also, keep in mind app lab titles are almost all small devs and early access.

It's got more solo content than Everybody's Golf. More courses and a much better progression system through its challenge mode.

in other words it was too hard for you, it does have a steep learning curve but I am an old man pushing close to 70 and i am getting the hang of it after just about 6 hours of game play. and not sure what is meant by "every bike starts out going 0-60 in like 10 minutes" seems more like 0-60 in about 2 seconds
