I just want to confirm something: 1. if I am going to leave Canada in late April this year (today is 25th March) for 2 weeks, and I have just received ECOPR, should I still apply for PRTD just in case I am not able to receive m y PR card before I leave Canada? Although I know PR card is probably sent within 2 weeks once applicant received ECOPR, I am still very worried. Can you suggest what I should do? 2. My spouse has the same travel plan as mine, and has done a separate application of PR previously, for his case, he has not even received CPP email (confirmation of address/ physical residence in Canada), he is very concerned what he should do if he receive the CPP email while he is out of Canada. FYI, the CPP mail mention that applicant MUST reply to the email within 7 days to confirm his/her physical status. Can you suggest what he should do?

Hey there, I have a question. What kind of letter should my father doesn’t have a job back home but he has a small shop. I want to invite him on my college graduation convocation. You mentioned that he can show something written from the suppliers from where he buys stuff to sell in shop. To make the case stronger in order to convince visa officer that he has strong ties back home and concrete reason to return back after the visit. Can you please advise on that. Thanks

Hello, thanks for watching. If your father owns the shop then the papers to prove his ownership. That means he has some properties or ties to home country. If it is on rent, then proof of rent amount which he pays to the owner. At least try to get your ecopr while you are in Canada. 1. No your copr will not be cancelled. 2. Yes, i think PRTD alone should be enough. It's a travel document. 3. Getting PR card from friend is little risky for the first time travel. PRTD should be better, but I dont know how long it takes. Because if you use PR card, i dont know what would be your status in Canada. Because you haven't used COPR, PR card anywhere before. But At least get the ecopr. Even if you font get it before travelling, thats okay. You can always download it from india too. And then decide about PR card or copr. Good luck.

I have a question. I am in the last stage. I read that the ecopr has an expiry of 1 year but I also read that once we receive PR, to maintain the status, we only have to live in canada for 730 days in 5 years. Can you answer this for me please ? Do we renew copr every 5 years or every 1 year ?

Hi, I believe, that the ecopr which you receive in the beginning, is having the expiry date as 1 year since you created the profile, not 1 year from the issue of ecopr. and once you land in Canada, your time as PR starts. You must get your PR card as soon as possible, and then the ecopr will not be the important document. Until you recieve your PR wait, you can use the ecopr to get the SIN, bank account, health card, driving license, etc. rergarding the days as PR ro maintain the status, yes, you need to be physically in canada for 730 days within 5 years of becoming the PR. you can stay for 500 days, then go somewhere, and then again stay for 230 days within 5 years, thats totally fine. we need to renew the PR card once in every 5 years unless you opt to become the citizen. we dont renew the ecopr. to renew your pr card, you must fulfill the 730 days condition. hope this helps, please like share and subscribe :)

Hi thanks for the video, we have a similar situation. Back in October we submitted the webform asking for virtual landing and received a confirmation email. A month later we received a final notice for document requirements. We filled 3 webforms since then with no confirmation of receipt. We followed your steps by submitting an email to the one listed in the video and received an email stating that the email does not respond to any unsolicited enquiries. There was a phone number at the bottom of the email which we tried to contact but any of the steps leads to them hanging up. We're a bit lost here, it looks like there is no way to contact the IRCC about virtual landing and an address in Canada. This looks to be dragging on and may result in the application being denied. Anyone have any ideas on how we can proceed?

That's pretty bad. I guess thay have changed the email address or may have stopped sending instructions through that email ID. Unfortunately there are not many ways to contact IRCC. Try if you can get in touch with local MP. Hope that can give some information. ☹️

What if you receive a confirmation email for the portal as an inland applicant and you are traveling outside the country for a short period?

Inform the same to IRCC via webform. Because they will know if you authorise that you are inside canada but you are not. I think You can also do the passport submission to VFS from outside of Canada.

If you are PR, then yes. You should be able to work full-time. Just inform your employer about your new Status, and give them any documents they ask. You may need to give them SIN number, Copy or PR card/COPR before starting the work.

ecopr gets generated once they accept your Canadian address you mentioned on the online portal. Shouldn't take many days. PR card comes once they accept your photo and declaration i think. Takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

Oh no, is there any way you can call to IRCC regarding this? There is a number for IRCC and the numbers you need to press to reach the sponsorship department. I am not sure if it still works that way. Alternatively please consider sending the email to ircc as well as shown in this video. If you have applied online, then it will be the same website and same credentials which you used for PR application. If it was paper based, then I think you need to create an account on the same website, using your email id which you mentioned in virtual landing instructions. @@priyankakhaneja4181 once they verifying your declaration that you are in Canada, you should be able to download the copr letter directly from that online portal. For paper applicants, I guess ID should be same as your email, but i think you get the credentials from IRCC. You can reply to the same email for credentials and see how it goes. At last, if you don't here anything, I think you can use the same email ID and click on forget password to see what happens. Just a thought. I am not 100% sure, you can definately travel outside of Canada, but while returning you need to show your PR card if you have become the PR of Canada. because your CoPR letter will have the signature already, that means you have landed to Canada (virtually) before. if you could wait for sometime, it is best to get the PR card first then leave. Else ask someone to carry your PR card from Canada to India, so that you can travel back. (Remember, carrying other's PR card is not always a good idea, and risky sometimes). So you need to figure out, what you want to do in this situation. Good Luck, Thanks.

Hello Everyone, We are facing a very strange issue. Me and my wife has applied for the PR together in the same application. We received the PR confirmation e-mail after which we had to respond with details (i.e. name , e-mail, current add.) for both of us. After that we received an e-mail to create a profile and submit the photograph and address. Here comes the issue after login to pR portfolio portal we can see only primary applicant’s name not the dependent to submit photographs and addresses.. and it’s been a while (close to a month ) and nothing has come as of yet for dependent applicant. Has anybody any idea about this? I’d really appreciate for your valuable input.

Primary applicant has submitted the photograph and current add. But even for primary applications the status shows in review and coPr is not yet generated to download.

Yes, anyone can pay the fees from anywhere. To pay the fees, you need to create a separate account, select the correct category, and pay the fees, save the receipt pdf. After we submit the documents including the mailing address and recent photograph through the PR portal, how long does it take to generate ECOPR if you have an idea? In my case, I submitted them on Tuesday, September 6th and it still shows "In Review With IRCC". I confirmed the "In-Canada Declaration" part, uploaded documents, and hit submit. First of all Congratulations for receiving your ecopr letter. There are 2 pages in ecopr. 1st is thr IRCC copy which has NO signatures and NO date. 2nd page is IRCC copy, which should have signature of Immigration officer and date besides this. Hello, thanks for watching. We got the eCOPR very quick. I think within a couple of days. There were two things. 1st is photo verification which hardly took 1-2 days and right after that we got the ecopr. Second was address verification which took 4-5 weeks I suppose, and then we got the PR card within 6 weeks around. However the timeline may vary for each individual. Hope this is helpful. It's tricky. Please confirm with IRCC that what travel document would you use when coming back to Canada. Would you receive the ecopr by then? If yes, then i think you can use that for your entry. But please confirm with IRCC on call or through webform. Because dependent is now PR, so not sure if they can use the travel visa (TRV).

I think yes, you can do the virtual landing after coming to Canada. You must notify IRCC that you are already in canada and follow the instructions for virtual landing. Congratulations, are you outside of Canada? if yes, then please follow the insctruction as per your letter received in your application. Sorry I couldn’t understand your case. Why did you sent your passport for stamping and applied for virtual landing for your wife? The email id might have changed or may be they are now responding late. Try calling them if it works.

Is your husband primary applicant? If yes, then he can just send his passport to VFS and wait for copr letter to come. I believe you are the sponsor, i think you can go to India at this time . Because spousal application has been processed now.

Ok. This is tricky. I think the best option would be to go to india and submit your passport there itself (hope it is within 30 days of receiving PPR). PPR letter would have information about what to do if you are outside Canada. If you are not in Canada for next few weeks, then virtual landing is not a good option i think.

Yes, its better to contact IRCC via call first, and aks them for your next step. Its been 4 months for your PPR. Its good that you raised the webform for your records. But now call them. Processing speed is not affected by calling them.

I think there was no place to attach Letter of explanation in vv extension application/form. The only option i remember was in the form, there was a list, and we selected Family Visit as purpose. Hope this helps.

If your visit visa is expiring based on the stamp on your passport, then I think you need to reapply for visit visa. (I am not 100% sure). My wife's visit visa was stamped with the 10 years of validity. (6 months at a time). Both cost 100$.

Hello, Thanks for reaching out. First of all congratulations for your TRV getting approved and also for your passport request. Indeed this is a tricky situation. If your tickers are fully refundable then you may cancel your plans and submit the documents in India itself for copr. Easy and straightforward. But even if you travel to canada on TRV and do the virtual landing, that’s an easy process too. I have a video for virtual landing instructions. You are fine in both the cases. Good luck.

@@user-es2jm4ht2u Hello, even if you are raising a webform, tell them your plans of travelling on TRV and attach proofs of your TRV approval letter and confirmed tickets. however, if you do not want to take risk, then please cancel your tickets (hope they are fully/max refundable or you can reschedule for free), and do the normal procedure from home country by sending your Passport etc and receive the COPR in 2-3 weeks. we cannot tell any timeline about the Virtual landing. All depends on IRCC. For some, it was very fast, and for some, it took time. Hope this helps.

@@canadadreamers_ Thank you so much for your response! I called IRCC to confirm the same and they are fine with me travelling now and raise a webform later for virtual landing once I land!!
