bro, I want to ask how to use the slide down technique in the nolly bass library ? I have tried various methods but to no avail I hope you can provide input regarding my problem

Sounds sick! Are you able to program slides, and hammers/pull offs within there Nolly library ? Also program notes to be played on particular strings?

Unfortunately no hammer ons and pull offs, but there are slides. Nolly said he didn’t include them because he never uses them in his bass playing, so he put more effort into adding as many velocity layers as he could for alternate picking. You can also force the notes on whatever string!

Okay, so this might be a dumb question, mostly because I already feel like I should know the answer, but the bass in the intro under the clean guitars….how did you achieve that? I always assumed it was done with an octaver at the end of the signal chain, but I’ve never been able to recreate it with one. Incredible work by the way. Definitely dig it. I’m going to sub.

That might actually just be a sine wave that I’m hearing now that I listen closer. There’s a certain effect I’ve heard that I’ve been trying to achieve for a long time and haven’t been able to figure it out.

Thanks dude! If you’re talking about the very start before the drums enter, that is a synth bass - some sort of square wave to be precise

Got you. Yeah, I initially thought it was something different going on. The first example I can think of is a Plini track. I think it's "I'll Tell You Someday." Whatever Simon uses on the first "verse" of that track is something I've been trying to figure out for a while. Lol.@@geordihills

Thanks man! I’m reluctant to do that, only because most of my drum mixing comes from an already existing template by Mix Ready Drums. While it’s not the same, it wouldn’t sit right with me to be earning money from it
