Honestly the scariest part of the episode for me was where they literally force you to view screens almost all day. When bing covers his eyes to avoid seeing Abi becoming a pornstar, it tells him “resume viewing” with the pitch getting higher and higher. They force everyone to constantly view and absorb their content. He had very little free will in this world, if any.

This episode stuck with me... I love it a lot. I remember my thoughts while watching it... "Oh, is he gonna end himself with that shard?" But then I look at the progress bar and see that it's not over yet. "Oh, he's going to go there himself and kill Judge Wraith! For revenge!" Nope... He puts a shard to his throat to give a speech. The crowd is chanting "Do it! Do it!" and I think "He's gonna shove a shard in his throat now?!" Nope. He succumbs... Falling victim to what he made a testament against... All of those times, I expected for the episode to be over. But then I realized something... If it did end the way I expected it to... It would've been a happy end. Despite the fact that Bing dies one way or another in all cases... But you're not allowed a happy end... All you will get is a gut-wrenching ending. A cherry on top of a gut-wrenching episode. I really felt I was about to throw up after this episode, that deep it got me... And somehow... I liked that.

although we all felt angry that abi went on and pretty much left him even after him paying for her. But i feel as if the ending wanted us to know that he no longer cared, and his life is much better than hers, which is why they made her look weird at the end, wheras he finally was able to drink something real and look at something real. She is still stuck and in prison, but he looks to be free
@Zeshhhh Жыл бұрын
I think it's more complicated than that, Abi didn't fully chose her future she had to drink some weird juice beforehand to be more easily corrupted. Bing's life is no more than an acceptance of the system he tried to break but he couldn't because no matter what he said he has no true power and those with power do not want to listen to him. He looks to be free yes, but it's yet another illusion or "thing that's not even there". I personally think what he looks at at the end are screens, just without mindless ads.

Well, he is not really free at all is he? He is wearing the shackles of having to do this show and is living within the system. The difference is that now he IS PART OF the system which he despised earlier in the episode. So, when he did not have the power he was rebellious against the system, but once he had the ability to benefit from it, he essentially sold out and became part of it.
