It is well worth it. I spent 16 days in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto and Hiroshima in the summer of 2019 and it is my best travel experience in the 10 years that I actively travel. I strongly recommend going when you have the opportunity again.

Back in 2016 on my way to the Philippines I purposely chose a flight with a 13 hour layover in Tokyo so I could go roam around the city for a few hours. Landed at Haneda around midnight, went through customs and figured out how to take the bus into the city by 2 AM. Got off one of the first stops and just walked for hours, was completely lost and didn't care. Tokyo is an amazing city.

The "cleanliness"? So, those aren't piled up bags of rubbish at 1:08:29 (and several more later on)? Plus, the "cardboard city" type place about 30 minutes later, the traffic cones all over the place, ugly, dirty metal railings by the roadside everywhere, and occasional graffiti. Love these videos - visited May 2019 and stayed in Shibuya and love seeing what has changed since we were there, and seeing what is nearby we never saw before. Firstly, thank you for taking the time not only to walk the streets at night, but for the editing, uploading, etc. Loved this video and the first thing that really amazed me was how well the streets are lit at night. The entire duration of the walk I don't recall seeing a poorly lit area or spooky lane. Loved the Coca-Cola/vending machines located in such random places! What a great idea!
