@@Wildwestwrangler Yeah I’ve made sashimi with clean store-bought clean fish, not wild. I don’t trust these murky waters around here much, either. 😂

I was watching this video and thinking why this angler was spending so much time filleting a tiny little fish. It seemed like so much work for so little reward and THEN he takes out the rice, the soy sauce and the wasabi and eats it as sushi - that was so Japanese and so AWESOME. Love it!

I love your simple fire making kit. Knowing that any size fire could be made via a fixed blade, folding saw and fire steel is a great lesson taught. I've noticed that you rinse the fish in the stream water. Are there any issues with water-born parasites on Hokkaido and in the mountains? In the USA, we need to be mindful of Giardia when ingesting surface water. Thank you for sharing another fishing and lunch experience!

It has been a long time since I last saw one of your videos and I'm glad to see you are doing well. I'm also glad to see that you are still fearless (unlike many physicians and virologists in the West) in being critical of vaccination policies. I have COPD and know that I am doomed but I still survived a COVID infection with nothing worse than a sore throat. Not to dwell too long on a side issue, I dom find it strange that Western politicians are so dismissive of respectable Japanese studies that correlate vaccination policies with increased auto-immune complications. It's a shame that Japanese politicians are equally timid. Stay well, good Doctor.
